It's been just a fraction of the days we will miss him, but it's been two months and day since Sammy died. Although it gets a little easier, we still wake up thinking of him and go to bed the same way. He was such a good boy.

Golden retriever, diagnosed with osteosarcoma in September 2010 — right front leg amputated November 2010. He fought valiantly to stay with us; but a second diagnosis of osteosarcoma, this time in his left front leg, was more than our golden warrior could overcome. He loved his pack — and everyone else he met.
We loved him even more.
Thanks for the pennies, Sammy. They helped.
Especially on this day, 41 months since we said goodbye to our happy hero.

Six months since we said goodbye to Bo. I don't know why this month feels different, but it does. Lots more tears today than usual. I guess 6 months is just one of those time milestones that we crazy humans can't let go of. Thanks for all of the support. We love tripawds!!!
Six months is a biggie, nopawdy can blame you for feeling extra emotional today.
Hugs, hugs and more hugs. We love Spirit Bo, always.

Bo's spirit lives on! We all loved Bo too.
We miss you, Bo. It was sweet of you to send Brady to your parents. Hope you are playing with Abby on a big beautiful beach!
Abby: Aug 1, 2009 – Jan 10, 2012. Our beautiful rescue pup lived LARGE with osteosarcoma for 15 months – half her way-too-short life. I think our "halflistic" approach (mixing traditional meds + supplements) helped her thrive. (PM me for details. I'm happy to help.) She had lung mets for over a year. They took her from us in the end, but they cannot take her spirit! She will live forever in our hearts. She loved the beach and giving kisses and going to In-N-Out for a Flying Dutchman. Tripawds blog, and a more detailed blog here. Please also check out my novel, What the Dog Ate. Now also in paperback! Purchase it at Amazon via Tripawds and help support Tripawds!
Awwww. Mehgan - the 6 month mark is a big date to remember. I'm sorry. Bo was a special boy! He's worth the tears.
I still have July 21st swirling in my memory from losing Rugby (which is now why we have Rocket) and that'll be three years ago this coming July!
Comet - 1999 to 2011
She departed us unexpectedly January 23, 2011 at the age of 12 1/2.
She was born with a deformed front leg and a tripawd all of her life.
Can't let the day go by without paying tribute to our founder and fearless leader. Long may you run dawg.
Newer members may not know Jerry left us on October 3, 2008 so the third of every month is very special to us. Read about Jerry here, or watch our story on PBS in Why We Love Cats and Dogs.

From abandoned puppy to Tripawd Warrior Dude, Dakota became one of the 2011 February Furballs due to STS. Our incredibly sweet friend lived with grace and dignity till he impulsively raced over the Bridge on 12-15-12.
Dakota's thoughtful and erudite blog is at http://shari.tr.....pawds.com/
What's it like in the future, Jer? Do I ever win the lottery?????
Hugs to your pawrents, cuz I know they are thinking of you today and every day!!!

My husband's birthday and four long months without Sammy today ...
On this day, and all days, I offer fervent thanks to Jerry for his example and his pawrents for their leadership. Without them, this journey would have been even harder.
Love to all of the fallen warriors playing at the bridge — you are not forgotten.

Please give your Tripawd an extra hug today in honor of our founder and fearless leader, Jerry.
We set him free on October 3, 2008.
