… We did not know she had bone cancer until a horrific pathological fracture.  I mean horrific.

Side note about Miss Kitty.  She was a certified therapy dog, was recognized by our Governor for her volunteer hours at a big ceremony where she was one of only two dogs attending.  She was also Rich's service

…life on three legs can be filled with more hope and joy than you ever imagined.

You can share your Tripawd Tuesday love story, too!

Therapy Dog Berkeley, Tripawd Tuesday Super Hero!

This therapy dog is still helping people!

Berkeley was rescued by his family in 2016. They could…

…quickly see that this boy has a talent for making people feel better during tough times, and Berkeley became a certified therapy dog the next year. After seven years brightening people's days, Berkeley lost a leg to bone cancer. But that didn't stop him, as his dad Michael

…  Not that Trevor will need help but you will be stressed and tired and having someone around to let you rest would be helpful.

BTW- training for Therapy Dog work is AWESOME!  I've always wanted to do that but haven't found the right dog yet.

Karen and the Spirit Pug Girls and Boy

…need chemo. We are relieved to have this news, and some hope, and a path forward. We believe he'll make an amazing Tripawd. He's been training for therapy dog certification, and while this will set us back a little with timing, I think we'll still pursue this goal when we're on the other side of all this.

…so fast and becoming quite the Derby Queen! Go! Go! Go! That's what puppies are all about right? All that energy and love, you will make a GREAT therapy dog someday.

Jack that's really neat you have all these experts working to make them the best dogs they can be. They're starting off on the right paw

…sorry for myself when he dies, but that's a little selfish because he has meant so much to so many people in different ways. We never completed our therapy dog training due to covid, but I see that working dogs find their own work, and he has found his. I'm really kind of in awe of this dog!

Nicholas got

…the decisions that you did .  At least in your case, it was definitely the best decision for Nicholas.

I have no doubt he will make a wonderful therapy dog for children, for adults too for that matter!

Hugs

Sally and Alumni Happy Hannah and Merry Myrtle and Frankie too!

…of a possible strain on his neck, haven't tried his old harness but the incision has healed now so I will. We're thinking of him as a children's therapy dog now, we'll see how the cancer goes.

Here is our thought process re amputation/osteosarcoma for Nicholas, and anyone else's will be different..

…a little better but this whole situation is setting him back again.  He is extremely bonded to our female Great Pyrenees.  She’s really been like a therapy dog to him and sleeps on his bed with him and, aside from being worried about Honor, it’s making him anxious over something happening to “his” dog.

…of growling happening. She "almost" played ball with Daisy once. It'll take time, but it's worth it.

Daisy's a lover, she'll be a great Social, Therapy Dog. She'll sit right beside you, lay in your lap or lean on you. She has a sweet, friendly face, brown eyes and black nose. She's a bit reserved,

…decided to restart our Comfort, Social, Therapy Dog work. In order to do that, we need a dog that can pass all the tests.

We decided to find a Golden Retriever. Looked through several Golden…

…a conscience and was concerned about the quality of the dogs. We found him. When we told him why we needed a Golden, he asked what Comfort Social Therapy Dog work was, so we sent him Shelby's Blog.  After a ton of texting and talking back and forth, we were convinced he was the one. He said, "If you take

Your Dudley seems a perfect match for your stage in life and he gets to be a service therapy dog for you and your family!!!! Dogs really do love to have a role and purpose in the family. Anyone with a doggo who has cried after hearing bad

…patiently for his foster mom to follow through.

He's super gentle with small dogs, puppies, and even old cats.

Tripp would make a great therapy dog, but as of now, he can't walk slowly on leash. He loves doing the fast paced, Tripawd hop, which is just too fast for most people. In fact, it's

…through with a right rear amputation for our Doggo, Zeke. They share so many similarities!

He is a 9yo (almost 10) Goldendoodle who is also a therapy dog and is very emotional and emotionally intuitive. He’s the complete opposite of our second dog. The tumor was found by accident on an X-ray looking

…Citizen shortly after I adopted him and he's my workplace's official Office Dog. He has a way with children, and we've been asked to volunteer as a therapy dog and handler team by nursing staff at two hospitals and by other connections at a school and a daycare.

There's only one national organization…

…that will register or certify therapy dogs where we live (no local options), and my question has to do with that. We've done all the training and all the paperwork, paid all the fees, and

…ve done Tripawd news about him.
