Today on Tripawd Tuesday we’re celebrating the resiliency of three-legged puppies like Misha, a might dog in a tiny body. This 15 pound beauty is small in stature but mighty in spirit, and so pretty! Her mom Katie writes to us from Illinois and says:
“Misha was found at 3 months old not using a front leg. A suspected dislocation turned out to be a neglected broken leg and several vets agreed that she would be better off with an amputation. They asked us if we would still consider adopting her as a tripawd, and we did not hesitate! The day after her amputation she was walking, or hopping, again! She joined our family shortly after, two humans and a 10 year old Jack Russel terrier (a four-legged rescue pup).
Misha is a handful! She runs, she jumps, she chews, she wrestles. Misha has more than enough confidence – in fact, she has the unnerving habit of picking out the largest dog at the dog park to play with. Not a moment has gone by where I or my fiance feel that Misha is any less than what we could have wanted in a puppy – she is growing up to be beautiful and strong.”
