Hi there..I'm so sorry to hear about your baby being in pain. My Louie didn't fair well after surgery so the surgeon prescribed Gabapentin. It's an anti-seizure med that really helps with phantom pain . He was on it for about 6 weeks post op as you need to ween them off it very slowly or they can develop rebound pain that is much worse. But it really worked well for him. The tramadol was making him psycho so we took him off of that completely. I know you've received some great advice here. Keep up the good work. He is lucky to have you!!

Hannah is gorgeous!
Liberty (Libby) was diagnosed with OSA on 1-22-13. Right front amputation on 1-31-13. No IV Chemo. Metronomic Therapy started 2-19-13 along with supplements and some home cooking. Lungs clear until 1-06-14. She's still her happy, hoppy, bossy self. Living the dog life to the fullest and a proud Winter Warrior. :) RIP my Libby 4-21-03 to 3-19-14
Thank you Sally for sharing more pictures of Happy Hannah. She is such a beauty. She has come so far in the amount of time you have been with us. I remember that first night. I am so glad you don't regret your decision and gave us all the chance to help mentor you.

Jill is a 9-year-old tuxedo kitty. She was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma in June 2012 on her toe in her right hind leg. Her leg was amputated on 12/12/12 and she completed four rounds of chemo (2 of Carbo, 2 of Doxy) in April 2013. LIBBY yes, I of course agree...she's so pretty.-..but it takes one to know one!! That Libby becomes. more and more distinquished as the gray sprinkles her sweet muzzle

ANDREA AND LOUIE. Thanks for taking the time to acknowledge us and I,m sooooo glad that CUTE Louie is doing well. Just to clarify, Happy Hannah did have a lot of pain and it lasted all most three weeks but ow that's all gone and she's happy as a pig covered in chocolate while laying in ice cream:-)

Isn't it time for Happy Hannah's next update to be on a new thread? The title here keeps making me expect a horrible turn, and she needs a nice, happy, healthy-beautiful-tripawd thread of her very own!

As far as changing the thread..I actually agree and it even gives me a little "ugh" when I see it my own self and I know I'm gonna' type good stuff!! Probably the #1 goofy reason right now

Now, o e reason I think it's good is probably a who.e lot of people who are facing the amputation decision go to that site......see it can be a rough start.....see all the great I formative support....and see how wonderfully well everything is conti using to turn out:-) clap, clap, clap:-)
She goes for her fourth chemo next week and maybe I'll make the change with that post. Guess I can say to continue to follow Happy Hannah's bountiful life at. Blah blah..

I agree with Dharma, time for a new thread next week! It's great to see how someone's pup can go from a ruff start to standing tall on 3 legs, all in one place, but yes, let's see a hoppy thread title! I like the one you are thinking of.

I'm a bit late but so glad I didn't miss those gorgeous pics. Hannah is BEAUTIFUL with such a gorgeous stoic expression.

Magnum: 30th May 2002 to 5th May 2012. Lost her back left leg to osteosarcoma on 5th Sep 2011. Lung mets found on 20th Mar 2012 but it was bone mets in the hip that ended her brave battle. Okay' first of all YAAAAAAAAAAAAAY HAPPY HANNAH JSUT COMPLETED HER FOURTH CHEMO two days ago and GRADUATED FROM CHECMO SCHOOL:-) clap...clap...lap...clap....clap:-)
I did not do xrays this time...just blood work which was great!! Onco. said most do sxrays ahead of fourth because if there is a problem they don't spend the.money on a another fourth
Well, I said (with all the tripawd community courage I could muster), "She's doing absolutely great (knocking loudly on wood the whole time) and if she did have an "issue" I would probably continue with other options and not just STOP anyway!". She said okay and we could do stays two or three weeks from now as a suggestion.... I think she has had two sets done anyway since surgery and they are great!
He said she knew it was like waiting for the other shoe to drop when dealing with bone cancer (lots of positive attitude, huh?) and I said (again with tripawd community courage).....Happy Hannah doesn't wear shoes and I go barefoot!".:-) clap!.....clap!.....clap! I was beaming my own self at that one!!:-)
I'll start reviewing other posts to see if I want to pursue another chemo for her as a fifth or what....we can do all that later.....right. ow we're celebrating:-)
And, of course, I've begged Jerry to post two more picturesPLEASE:-) THE CROWD IS ROARING LOUDLY FOR. ORE PLEASE:-)
