It's Hannah Day! Time to dance and be hoppy, if she can do it anypawdy can clap

Sally, her photos that we have already shared  here will stay here, except for the one I posted today for you, that one can go over to the new topic when you start it in Anything Goes (which I think is a great place to do so). I think that's what you're asking right? Future photos can go in the new topic. Is that OK?

I went back and re-read your original post, Sally. I forgot I was the first to reply to you. How funny! And now I remember how we were all sitting in chat and I saw your post come through and we all started talking about you (in a nice way). We kept saying how we wished you would come into chat so we could reassure you, get more info instantly, help you out. We felt so absolutely horrible for you.

And now? It is exactly like a couple of people said. Give it a month and see. You won't believe you were ever this freaked out, and you won't believe how good Hannah will feel later.

I am so glad Hannah has not proved anyone wrong. Of course there are dogs here who don't do well and who have other problems arise. That complicates things. But I think your first post here ought to be required reading for new members. Not to frighten them, but to show them that you can have rain and clouds but sunshine is there, too. smiley

Beautifully said, Shari.  I don't think I'd seen the original post; since I've been here (March) Sally was already head cheerleader and Queen of pawsitive thinking; it's a magical thing to go back and see all that's happened with Happy Hannah and how strong Sally has become, with the support and generosity of all the other members here.  Bless you all.

April 2014

Happy Hannah graced me with herpresence for nine years, seven months and two weeks.....she graced me with more FUN, ore JOY, more non-stop LAUGHTER, more GLORIOUS TAIL WAGS AND SLOBBBERY KISSES than anyone could ever imagne possible!! We laighed with each other ever second of every day.....me with my smile and chuckle, she with her nappil wagging tail mixed in with some Woo Wooooo and a few "paw pokes" at m hand in case I stopped rubbng her tummy too quicklu!

She traded i her earth clothes and pit o her Angel Wings as she headed yet through aother open door to ransistion. She had me place her order for wngs a little ahead of time, ot only did we need extra-extra large for her, but she wanted them made out of pure chocolate adorned with M&M's

You'll see her bucket list video and see what I mean about her "chocolate fixation"!

HAPPY HANNAH and I got to celebrate ONE YEAR AND TWO MONTHS.....FOURTEEN MONTHS of NEVER letting this piece of crap disease rob usof o e second!! Okay, ybe the first couple of weeks I wasn't exactly living in the Spirit of Dog!! But I held to this commnity and they through me a lifeline of love, support, knowledge, courage and kept me from drowning in a sea of fear and uncertainty!

This disease did NOT touch the essence of HAPPY HANNAH....did not take one thing away! She's the winner here! She lived every sngle day soooo blissfuly happy.

And let me tell you, she snd I NAILED her transition......jist as she NAILED making every seco d of her life be one of pure JOY! She was just delightfully happy

For anyone starting on this journey.....no o e kows how mic time any of us will have...it really is a crap shoot!

But if there's one thing for you to master and do it right from the beginning (okay, maybe it's a little harder during the recovery)....and that's livingin the NOW...the PRESENT...bei g more dog...Spirit of dog!! NEVER, EVER, EVER LET ANYTHING ROB YOU OF YOUR TIME TOGETHER!!

Even as I was waiting for the vet come, who had to cancell the day before...and then was two hours late the next...HAPPY HANNAH AND I WERE STILL TOGETHER AND WE WERE NOT LETTING ANYTHING ROB USOF OUR TIME TOGETHER!! For her, it simply meant she had more times to est M&Ms and ice cream!

I can only hope this thread shows you how to turn sheer fear i to the most blissfully happy time of your life withnyour dog or cat. But you MUST stay connected here!! If this community canpull me from the edge...phss.....piece of cake for anybody else! And they've even learned to read my typose without going crazy! Well I nderstand ne or two went a little whacky for awhile, but they adjusted!

I never learned how to do a blog' but I hope you'll search Happy Hannah's threads and see what fun we,ve had? And all because we armed ourselves with research,, checked in with Happy Hannah who was ready to go ahead and go thr three leg route if it meant so e quality time..PAIN FREE!! And remember...we all want more tk e...but six months pain free.....that's over three years in a dog's life.

Se dimg you each love, support, hugs and buckets of ice cream and truckloads of chocolate!

We are all here for you, you are never alone!

Oh yeah...and they "thought" she had a "destroyed" lymph node st the amputation....don't even get me started on that one.....and t four months the Onco told me she was "surprised she made ittht long!" WHAAAAAAAT!

And, she lived large with a big ole huge lung timor towards the endo of her journey for SEVERAl months with Flawless quality!!!

So ALWAYS know that you ave today...and never, ever worry about tomorrow!

We are always withyou!

Sally,

I am so glad you posted on this.  It was a great journey huh.  I won't forget that first day here & how panicked you were.  Look at you now.  Look at what you & Hannah did.  You became the biggest cheerleader of this community.  NO MATTER what you were going through.  Both of you nailed this journey.  Just don't forget because Hannah's earthly journey is over her Angel one is just beginning.  I can't wait to see what this part of it brings for you 🙂  Wait to see what Hannah's wagging tail is going to bring.

Hugs & lots & lots of love

Oh So TRUE!!!

Thank you so much for this beautiful and very inspawrational update Sally. Although Hannah's earthly battle has ended, her uplifting spirit is just now beginning its work to continue helping others with hope, love and joy as they make their way though their own cancer journey.

Hannah's story will forever be here, a ray of sunshine in what can be a very dark time. Thank you for allowing us to be a part of your life.

xoxo
