Oh Shari, you make me laugh ...and that's just fun!!

Compliments on your memory.......my brother did indeed come up at build a ramp......very good! But, if this is even possible, he's just a little less daft than I am when it comes to computers!

Hey, I did change my "thread" to a more upbeat current one (well, with a little hep from Rene) so that's a good thing.

But I really am motivated to learn this blog thing because I do want to follow up on your idea of posting about my MAN I just found in my closet! Did I tell you n' was eating Whoopers?? Do you know him? Do I know him?

Sometimes you gotta wonder what lurking "guests must be thinking when they read some of this stuff!

Okay, Salty Dog signing off. Thanks for being you!! It's a fun person to be!!

HAPPY HANNAH WENT UP....UP........ I REPEAT...UP..THE STAIRS!!!!!!!!!! Smiley face!!.....smiley face!................smiley face..............!!

Talk about a slow recovery........three months and two weeks AFTER rear leg amputation, Happy Hannah went up the outside stairs to back porch!!!!

The magic is still happening!!! Smiley faces all over planet!!

But wait, you have to hear the "why". The true motivation.

So, living out in the "semi country", people are always dropping off cats/kittens.. Blankety blank creeps! Spend endless hours trying to catch them and get them spayed/mustered, homes, etc. At the very least, for 'em off AFTER they've been snipped and clipped. Sooooooooooo............
Let the dogs out, Hannah goes on down the stairs (she's mastered the down part). I go on I side a minute and let them do their business.

BARKING, YELPING, GROWLING.....What the heck? Go running out back door and nearly plow into Hannah who is UP on the deck cornering two kittens....yes kittens...barking at them like crazy and they're hissing and spitting ad she's jumping back (oh yeah, up until now, not very good at backing up). I'm trying to grab her and get her back in the house Bodie, my 16 Yr. old fifteen lb.buddy is helping her try and corner the little kittens. They were working in tandem like sheep dogs herring sheep!

Okay, end result.....kittens are safe and I have them nestled in my cat halfway house/pen!

And I ow k ow how to motivate Happy Hannah to go up stairs!! Of course, since I transferred the Kitty's, she refuses to go up and uses her ramp!!

Guess the lesson is if you want the outcome badly enough, you will overcome any obstacle to reach your goal!!

These steps aren't particularly steep and they are very wide (unlike my stairs that go up to the bedroom where she used to be able to sleep with me)
So that's my next goal for us.

Sooooooooooo

Erica, do you mind if I borrow Jill for a few days?? If she went this nuts over kittens, think what she'll do to reach a full grown cat!!!! And Calli g it "supper" at the same time!! Oh yeah.....she's UP those stairs in a flash!!!!!

Smiley faces all over the place!! So happy for my Happy Hannah!!

Here kitty, kitty..............-

Here's to sleeping in the bed together! Sally and Happy Hannah

YEAH HANNAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'd send you Jill but.......she's still working on her UP as well!  YES even 6 months later!....stairs she can probably handle though ;)

BUT happy hannah has to promise not to EAT HER!  She's very precious!!!!

Jill is a 9-year-old tuxedo kitty. She was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma in June 2012 on her toe in her right hind leg. Her leg was amputated on 12/12/12 and she completed four rounds of chemo (2 of Carbo, 2 of Doxy) in April 2013. Wowwwweeee! Go Hannah!

Sally I just can't get over how very far she's traveled on her Tripawd journey. Now we know, the secret to motivation is....cats! We should have put that in our new Tripawds rehab book! Hahaha, just kidding.

But seriously, Wyatt Ray says he will be very happy to come on over  and help round up the troops for another "workout" whenever you're ready!

ACL tear in right hind leg 12/5/12 and scheduled ACL repair surgery 12/21/12. Pre-op xrays revealed osteosarcoma. Amputation 12/28/12.  Chemo (carboplatin) started Jan 10, 2013 and ended on April 5, for a total of 5 doses. He handled carbo like a champ!  No side effects.  We started metronomic therapy at his third chemo and have been also doing some holistic treatments.  He's a lively, playful 10 year old huskie-boarder collie and a very proud member of the Winter Warriors!  Our love. Our funny little guy!

Ah oh Jill, you saw that didn't you? Wyatts coming over to round up some e "stair climbing motivators" (aka here kitty, kitty)! So we won't be eating.....err.....using Jill after all!! But the offer was appreciated! Jilll would have been safe though, all I had to do was sprinkle her with Tramadol dust and Hannah wouldn't go near her!!

Yeah, that "motivator" does need to be put in your rehab section!! Being connected to everyone on this site is what helps make this entire journey be the best it can be.

Katy, I LOVE smiley faces and We love you and Jackson:-) Thank you for aways being here.

Wyatt' I'm boxing up a bunch of the unspayed feral females now and sending 'em off to ya'.........I figure in sixty days or so, you'll probably have a hundred "TRIPAWD REHAB KITTENS" especially bred to motivate your tripawd to do stairs!! At five dollars per kitty head, going to tripawd site.....WOW!

Thanks for your continuedd support everyone!

You have a wonderful way with words lady.. and I have appreciated and cherished each one of them..  You are so upbeat.. so helpful.. so spirit lifiting... so welcoming....  Don't ever lose it!    I wish I could give you a hug right now!

now.. onto some more really important matters!!!  whooooooo hoooooooo so happy that Hannah has mastered the stairs!!!!!  Her recovery has been amazing.. even though it has taken a bit of time.. that's ok.. cause.... she is doing it!!!!  whooooo hooooooo (throwing my hands up in the air here!)

I never had to worry about stairs with Frankie... it was all ground level.. even going out on to the deck... we were luck that way.

So glad to hear that Hannah is doing fab!!

Christine, you REALLY touched my heart with your very kind and thoughtful words. Really, it was just incredibly thoughtful and gracious:-) :-)
EVERYONE NERE is my role model on ow to reach out to others. EVERYONE here is my hero. After all the wonderful gifts of support and love I've been privileged enough to receive, my biggest hope is that I can somehow in some teeny weeny way, help others through this journey. "Somehow" give back like ALL of you have given to me.
Thank you for letting me know I was able to be there for you andyour PRECIOUS FrFrankie!. To hear that meant the world to me. Really! Everything you said is what everyone here does for each other......maybe not with as many typos:-)

Membership in our club can sometimes be a very fun place to be! ESPECIALLY when you have a WITTY KITTY like Jill to play with:-) :-)
She cracks me up too!
Thank YOU for showing us all how to continue to give and to be there for each mother, even when your heart is still breaking! But all you have to do is look at those eyes in Frankie's photos and that huge grin and I KNOW he puts a smile in your heart!
