If you’re new to the Tripawd journey and feeling overwhelmed, take a breather and relax. These Tripawds tips from people like you and me are ready to help! This is the first of our five-part series of Tripawd Tips from the community. Read on to get the reassurance you need to be as strong and resilient as your amazing three-legged hero.
Tripawd Tips from Parents Who Know
We shot this series last May during the epic Tripawds party in Richmond, Virginia, where for the second time in three years, Tripawds members gathered to celebrate life on three legs and beautiful friendships. Members traveled from as far away as Germany, England and California to hug the incredible people who make Tripawds so much more than a website. It’s a real community because of the kindness and love that flourish here each and every day!
In this first Tripawd Tips video you’ll hear from long-time members Karma, Paula, Cheryl, Shannon and Teri give their best advice for life on three legs. All of these folks speak from the heart, all understand exactly what it’s like to walk this journey, learn and grow from it. Enjoy and hoppy pawlidays!
Stay tuned for more great Tripawd Tips, Part 2!

Wow! I just found this – as always I’m a little slow. I got teary eyed too Sally – I really wasn’t expecting to see me or Isa. I’d totally forgotten about the video (except remembering how Renee nearly hurt herself trying not to laugh when I referenced the “marketing guy”)
and lovely to relive the Pawtry of the Century!
Yep, I recognize Frankie’s distinctive voice – hard to miss.
Teri, the Roxinator and Angel Isa
This was awesome. Thank you for bringing back some wonderful memories of that day and Frankie’s singing 🙂
Thank you all for sharing your wonderful pointers,
Michelle & Angel Sassy
WOW!!!!! PRICELESS INSIGHT!! Got all teary-eyed over here, but in a good way! 🙂 Hearing from these beautiful Souls sharing such personal moments of how this journey has touched them is so helpful, whether you are new to ithis journey, or an old timer.. We all need inspiration!
Case in point. Hearting Teri share her life lesson from Isa who gave her confidence and strength that carries far past the “jorney” itself. Sitting here with my Tripawd Frankie who is having an AWFUL time trying to recover from a torn ligament surgery (it’s only been 24 hrs), I needed ro be reminded that I had what it takes to power him through this!! See Teri, that Isa is still installing confidence in all of us!!
Listen to that howling dog “talking” non-stop in the baxkground…..yeah, that’s my Frankie!!! 🙂 🙂 🙂
Love to each of you! Beautifully said!
Sally and Alumni Happy Hannah and Merry Myrtle and Frankie too!
