Sally, that is the best picture EVER. Poor Frankie 😂
CharlieBear, I cannot imagine what made you think of me and Meg. We are upstanding (unlike Frankie) law abiding citizens 95% of the time... alright 90%, maybe 75?....50?... okay, 10%, but for that 10% we really are very well behaved indeed
Ruby, Staffy, born June 2022, became a Tripawd, 20 November 2023, adopted 12 January 2024.
Also Angel Tripawd Meg (aka The Megastar), who died in April 2023, aged 14, after seven glorious years on three, and Angel Staffies Pie and Bille. In the pawprints of giants...
Does anyone (who is more organized that me) want to re-post the location and times for the pawty?!? Just in case any newbies are reading this thread and have NO plans for Memorial Day weekend and are thinking about attending the east coast pawty of the century!
Jasper Lily and her mama are brushing up on our "southern charm" since we are coming from the land of not-so-friendly and no-so-smiley but we sure are looking forward to meeting all sorts of new friends! (The real reason no one has wrinkles in LA is not just botox, it's that no one ever smiles). BUT we do !!!
Counting down!!!

Our story: Broke rear leg in June 2013 - non-conclusive results for cancer so leg was plated and pinned. Enlarged spleen in September 2013 and had it removed and was diagnosed with Hemangiosarcoma and started chemotherapy. Became a Tripawd January 8th, 2014 and definitive Hemangiosarcoma diagnosis. Three major surgeries in 7 months and Shelby took them all like a champ only to lose her battle to cancer in her brain. We had 8 amazing extra months together and no regrets. #shelbystrong #loveofmylife
The location is the Rockwood Dog Park 3401 Courthouse Rd, Richmond Va 23236
Dates Saturday May 27 & Sunday May 28 3:00- 8:00 PM
If arriving before 3 we don't have the shelter before that time so it will be in the dog park area til we get the shelter.
The are multiple hotels in the area. If looking for hotels Sally said the Richmond/Chesterfield County area. Look for dog friendly if bringing furry friend. I know Elizabeth gave us some earlier I think it was the Loft and Cassie is using the Red Roof Inn (not sure where that is exactly).
Needed items: Water for the Dogs, any snacks you may want, Pictures if your dog is an Angel or memento you would want to place on the memorial table. There are picnic tables to sit at etc.
Also I would like to suggest a $5.00 donation for the reservation of the shelter so it helps a certain friend out and they don't have to pay for it themselves. Plus we will be having food on Sunday as well so donation for that 🙂

GREAT suggestion Aliso !!
GREAT input Michelle!!! Perfect synopsis! 🙂 🙂 🙂
Here's a hotel that Teri has already booked, and I believe Ingrid also . It's sog friendly and close to the Park. And Sarah stayed there when she had DC Jack's amp done and said it was very nice!! 🙂
HAMPTON INN 800 Research Rd. Midlothian Va. 1 855 605 0317
I believe this one is DOG friendly
(Within 10 minutes)
And ues, Michelle is exactly right avlut gathering at the dog park earlier than 3:00, which is just a couple hundred yards from the shelter (probably less). Go into the part that's for "little dogs"...that's the area we are going to try and take over!! I think a lot of people are getting there earlier.
ALISON....you'll have a smile on your face furever when you head back West. You tell those Californians wrinkles are merely where smiles have been!!

soooo, inquiring minds want to know ...
The party doesn't officially start until 3:00 pm - whatever will we do with ourselves (after recovering from the prior evening of course) during the morning/early afternoon?
I tried for a pilgrimage to a tattoo parlor but was shot down. Are there sites that must be seen? Any interest in antique stores if such exist in them there environs? (Hi, I'm Teri and I love antique stores. yes, it is a problem.)
I've never been in Virginia before so as is my usual I'll run all over and try to see everything and have to rest and recover from my vacation when I get home.
Throwing it out to the masses.
so excited!!!
Right rear leg amp 7/12/16 due to OSA. Metastatic lesion on her right front leg, January 2017. Joined the Winter Warriors January 19, 2017. Run free my sweet girl.
I may be the odd one, but I'd totally go to a tattoo parlor for a Tripawds tattoo 😉 Lol

Domino had his left front leg amputate on May 13th 2014 after being hit by a car. He's now living a happy healthy life on three legs :)
