Sally, this is all great information! Your rehab person was most helpful! The more we know the more we can offer support in any which way we can! I am sorry that you are in the predicament you are in. Know that you are all in my heart and thoughts!
Frankie darling, i fall in love with you again and again and again! Those eyes Frankie! You sure do know how to use them! It’s no wonder you get away with what you do... I’m not sure i could even ask you to sit if you gave me those eyes!!!

Do I understand that Frankie is turning his leg out? Izzy did that after her knee repair. I never broke her of the habit but we didn't do rehab and I was terribly soft on her. I love the shot of Frankie's stink eye. Izzy would most definitely approve!
Sally, and everyone, I just wanted to pop on and let you know that I still think of you! I just am not online a ton, not even Facebooger, really. And let's be honest, we 'll know I'm really only on there to "like" pics of naughty pups being adorable.

Momma to the world's most beautiful American Bulldog, Izzy!! Lost her front leg to OSA 9/18/15. Diagnosed w MCT in June 2016. Celebrated her 1 year ampuversary with knee surgery on 9/18/16! MCT recurrence in Dec 2016. Happy & hungry til nearly 14, earning her wings on 7/31/17.
If anybody can pull this together, it is Frankie, hence the stink eye ...

Eurydice 77kg/170lb Great Dane limping end of April 2016, amputation (right front leg/osteosarcoma) 4 May 2016 6 courses of carboplatin followed by metronomic therapy, lung mets found 30 Nov 2016. 3 courses of doxorubicin, PET scan 26 Jan 2017 showed more mets so stopped chemo. Holistic route April 2017. Lung X-ray 5 May 2017 showed several tennis ball size mets, started cortisone and diuretics. Miss Cow earned her XXL silver wings 12 June 2017, 13 months and 1 week after amputation and 6 1/2 months after lung mets, she was the goofiest dawg ever and is now happily flying from cloud to cloud woof woofing away :-)
I think Frankie needs "The Conversation". I have to give it to Eli every now and then as a reminder. "The Conversation" with Eli goes like this (you'll want to change the script for Frankie's situation):
1. Choose a quiet time when you are alone with Frankie. Sit at his level and make sure you have eye contact.
2. Initially I wrote out a script so I didn't forget anything, it goes something like this: "Eli, I love you very much and I know you like to show me how much you love me. You show that love by bringing me rats. Obviously, you are a great hunter and have many skills. I admire these skills. I like you show me your love. But you know what? You can show that love even more by leaving what you killed outside the door. That way I will see it, then praise you and dispose of it. Thanks for listening. Want a snack?"
3. He only gets a snack if he listened attentively and doesn't talk back.
For some reason he never talks back during this talk. It works for awhile but does need to be repeated.
Tell Frankie if a cat can get it so can he. Happy healing Frankie and Myrtle!

Frankie has been praying everyday to his goD for massages (aka Rehab visits!) to be reinstated.
Well don't tell Frankie yet, but he has more Rehab...er....massages...in his future!!! The suppoet of Frankie's Friends in sooooo many ways and in soooo many levels has been unbelievable!!! 🙂 🙂 🙂
I'll update once we have our first return visit. I am soooo anxious to jear her evaluation and to see if, HOPEFULLY, he's at least not digressed (which I think he has) and has maybe progressed (not holding my breath)! But no matter what....no matter what....he is DEFINITELY in a much better place than before any Rehab!! His is sooooo happy! He is soooo Frankie!! 🙂

Geez, Frankie is STILL waiting for some good massages, caravati, slow ramp walks, etc I've delayed the updates thinking we would jave a Rehab visit "any day"....NOT!
Her schedule has been really really tight. Then add crazy wet, windy, snowy weather, and it's made everything harder to schedule
HOPEFULLY, she can make it THIS Sunday after I get off work. She's pretty special trying to make a Sunday work. If not, it looks liken it will be May 15th on a Tuesday.
I've stopped most of his at home stuff right now as he seems to be having a "set back". It started to get a "little backslide" the past week or two....and then the past secceral days the "back slide" is looking kinda scary to me!! He is showing some pain.
Right now it's meds and rest. And yes, I could take him to my regular Vet (and may do so if Rehab can't come Sunday). And yes, I'm temporarily burying my head in the sand. If it's an issue with the surgery....if it's failed......or if it's the meniscus.....nah....not going tnere!
The Rehab Vet and Team Frankie have been our MIRACLE and are continuing to do miraculous things 😎
Again, sorry for the delay and I,probably should have waited til the Rehab appt. As I have nothing to update yet. Then I could give you some substance!
And yes, one of the videos is s of Frankie loving toilet bowl water!! That's my Frankie doing what He wants when he wants!😎

im sorry that Frankie is having a bit of a backslide, but Frankie is still doing what Frankie does best... drinking out of toilet bowls and wagging his beautiful tail while sniffing out EVERYTHING!!!
We will look forward to hearing what your rehab therapist says and maybe Frankie just over did it in these spring feeling days. Okay we have more of a spring feeling than you do!!!

Oh Frankie! Yes Sally let's not go to the worst case scenario lets just hope he might've had a bit of a slip at some point due to bad weather and had a small setback. He is still touching with it so rest and pain meds may be just the ticket. Hopefully rehab will be able to come this Sunday and Frankie gets back on all three. So Frankie R&R for you till Sunday! With maybe a little massage from Momma cause those are always a good thing right boy? Sending love and hugs!

Meds and Rest sound like a great plan & see what Dr.Weedle says. We are hoping she can fit Frankie in on Sunday & she can keep coming and sort this out!🙏

Rest and meds sound just the ticket. He does look rather tentative, but as Linda says, he is still touching which is a REALLY POSITIVE SIGN, I think. There could be loads of factors causing this little blip, a small slip or strain sounds highly likely, especially given the weather you have been having, and Frankie's natural "exuberant" nature. And you know how it is, once they tweak something, they compensate and that can cause a strain somewhere else, and on and on like dominoes. Rest and meds, Frankie, okay? Rest and meds, and listen to your Momma. Will be waiting for your update, Sally, once Dr Miracle has seen him, hopefully on Sunday.
And please, please, please don't EVER feel you need to wait for something concrete to post. Sometimes the not knowing and worrying and wondering is precisely when you need the most support. We're there for you every step of the way.
