Good deal! Great idea Was looking for a place to tell Sally that they are in our thoughts and you took care of that! Frankie will be on all of our minds today, anxiously awaiting the word that the procedure went fine and he is recovering nicely.
Big hugs,
Jackie

Nice one, Linda ❤️
Sally, you are in our thoughts. I hope you are taking your own advice and stocking up on chocolate and ice cream. VERY important. Thinking of that handsome Frankie too. With Meg’s surgeries I was always worried about how I was going to keep her calm and quiet and she always surprised me (given her usual hyperactive nature...) by seeming to realise for herself that this was what she needed. I have a hunch Frankie may be much the same, cool dog that he is.
Sending love to you all. Do keep us posted when you get the chance. We’ll be all of us waiting to hear how things are going.
Huge hugs,
Meg, Clare and Elsie Pie xxx

I probably won't be avle to talk tp Vet til check-out. Mh plan ks to take him to an overnight clinic tonight. His ra.p is still icy and snowy and I haven't been ablt to shovel it. Hoping it will .elt enough today to be safe.
As many of you know, Frankie could never have had this done, much less spend the night in an overnight clinic, without your help in so many ways!!!
CANNOT WAIT TO SEE HIM!!!!!! I just really think it's in his best interest to be "confined" tonight. I hope he's still zonked enough he doesn't raise a ruckusi. The car tonight for the hkur drive to the clinic!!
He'll probably pull an Elsie Pie and be fine, but I just feel confinement is best tonight

Your icy ramp is a minor issue sweetheart, can you call on a neighbor to help you? If not, just get to what you need to lovey. Then you can possibly get someone to help you out? You know I would be there in a second to do it for you if I was close lovey... I would!!!

Sooo good to hear that surgery is done! I was thinking about Frankie this morning while we were on our family walk and hoping that the surgery was going well.
Long recovery ahead- but the scariest part is behind you!

Thank you Sally for the update. I was wondering how things were going for Frankie. I know he will be pretty knocked out from all the drugs. I think you are making the best decision to take him to an overnight clinic. They will keep him medicated like he should be tonight and then you can check on him and bring him home tomorrow.
He is going to be a stubborn one for sure LOL. Onto the road to recovery

Hey Frankie! This is your little quad pug pal Obie. I hear you had knee surgery today. Bummer dude! (I’m a California Pug, people expect you to always say ‘dude’) You know I’ve had both of my knees fixed like yours, only my Mom says I had special knees, they called them something like luscious patella’s, so they fixed my knee caps too…
Anyway since I am such a veteran I wanted to share some good and bad things about knee surgery and give you some hints to help you get through!
First some of the bad stuff:
When I woke up my leg looked like a drumstick with a little sock!
Mom kept putting funny things on me like jammy pants and a big donut that you can’t eat! They were to keep me from bothering my leg she said. I can’t complain too much because they didn’t try to put one of those big, scary, satellite dish cones on me! I was good though and left my leg alone so I didn’t have to wear that stuff too much.
I did get kind of board sometimes since I couldn’t walk around where I wanted.
No Privacy! mom ALWAYS took me out to potty on a leash- geeze!
I spent a lot of time in little pens, what’s up with that? That was kind of a drag but the dogter said it was just while my knee healed. I could still get a ‘taste’ of the outside though.
Believe it or not there was some good stuff too!
Lots and lots of treats and what ever I wanted for dinner! Some of the treats did taste a little funny, but be sure and gobble them up anyway- they make you feel groooooovy!
Lots of time with Grandpa! I got to spend extra time on his lap and got extra treats. He made my leg cold and moved it around but it was worth it for the extra food and attention! And, since I got so much extra lap time it made my big sis Tani jealous!
I finally got to ride in the chariot! My big sis always got to ride in it but finally I got my chance. I don’t know if your mom has a chariot but you should ask her to get you one! I know I’m a little smaller than you (ha!), maybe your big sis can pull you.
I got some extra bones to chew on since I couldn’t walk around when I wanted. My mom always laughed when she gave me one… I guess it made her happy to make me happy!
Cool scars! Mom says ‘chicks dig scars’ but I haven’t met any chickens so I can’t be sure. My fur grew back and covered them up anyway.
Remember that during the recovery period you are the king of the castle so ask for lots of extra stuff! If mom won’t give you what you want try a little whimper, or a limp, or give her the big, sad eyes! Sad eyes work EVERY time for me!
Good Luck Frankie!
Your pal Obie
