Nurse Myrtle could never have been able to help Frankie heal without TEAM FRANKIE!! 🙂   This is a picture of the bliss of these two that I wasn't sure I would ever get to see again two months ago!

Okay,Holly, Jerry and Petra. An "off the cuff" comment about holding off on Rehab visits for now didnt get past you!    I've been trying to figure out how to ignore your inquiries about continuing Rehab all day.   You asked honest questions and I need to respond honestly.

I know we don't discuss individaul fundraising on here, so I want to honor that.  Obviously though, the secret is out and every single one of you know about the YouCaring account Mattha set up for Frankie, so I'll proceed!

Each of you have your own hurdles, your own challenges and your own financial "issues".  And yet you each gave so selflessly and so unconditionally  to Frankie.  As best as I can determine, some of you even  gave twice, or maybe even more!  As much as I want Frankie's much needed Rehab to continue , I just couldn't let you guys continue to spend your hard earned dollars on us!     When Martha let me know that was happening, she and I both agreed we couldn't let the same WONDERFUL Souls continue to fund Frankie's recovery.

So she closed the donation part down.   I was hopefully going to get an update for her to post first and maybe post a link to this thread for anyone who wants ro follow his progress....without feeling like they still had to donate.  I have yet to get that "update" to Martha.

Since we're being so honest here, yes, it scares the heck out of me not to be able to continue the Rehab visits at rhis point. How's that for being honest??  Yes, as Tina noted, he's still relying on his two "good" legs and leans on them accordingly.  The Rehab Vet feels strongly she can do a lot more for him, but also understands the situation and yesterday tried to give me as much "at home" stuff as she could  that I can do on my own.  

I do have to chcuckle a bit.  He doesn't get away with "Frankie doing it Frankie's way" with her as much as he does me!.  He knows she means business.  She won't let me give him a treat unless he does something perfectly.  I sneak him one when she's not looking just for being cute! 🙂

The Rehab Vet has even made a space for donations to Frankie on her facebooger page and, if I understood her right, has tried to point people in the direction of the YouCaring page a bit ago..  

I have not run this by Martha, but I would certainly be willing to ask her to open it back up ONLY if I ABSOLUTELY had your word that you would use it for the purpose of SHARING only.....but NOT  for the purpose of you guys  making any further donations :-).   And sure, if there are others out there who want to help Frankie, those donations woild DEFINITELY be accepted!  I know you gave freely and willingly and soooo selflessly because you each have such huge hearts and because you wanted too I am touched beyond words with your generosity!! 

  And   I also  know  this has to be a huge time consuming undertaking for Martha to keep the site up, so I don't want in any way, shape or form, to further burden her!  Yes this big hearted woman did this willingly and selflessly also, but I know she  has a lot on her plate right now and I don't want to add to it.

So there ya' have it!  After all that rambling, I'm not even sure what ro say now. YES, I would love for'the site to stay up and have access to more Rehab...vut NO, I do NOT want you guys doing any more than you already have!!!!   I feel a bit unselttled.  So I'll just go eat some ice cream and give Frankie and Merry Myrtle a scoop! 🙂

I hope with all my heart you each get to know what it feels like to be loved and suplorted jn the way you have koved Nd supported "us". It started the day Happy Hannah and I joined five years ago (actually, this month) and hasn't let up one second as Team Frankie moves forward

Holly,I understood your loving intention purrfectly!  I was merely "unsettled" about how much to share...thst was on me.  And yes, the ice cream settled me down splendidly.  Of course, the little bit that the dogs let me have 🙂  So thank you, and Petra and Jackie and Jerry EVERYONE for your words of support and always making everyone feel good about everything we post here!

So here's where we are.  I've written Martha and asked her to review the updates over here when she gets a chance.  She started this incredible "vehicle of compassion " for Frankie so she da' boss!

FYI    I DO have some tax refund coming down the road  (as soon as I get off my duff and file) and that has a ccouple of "Rehab for Frankie" written all over it!!   So I am staying solution oriented in my end 🙂

Ohhh I understand indeed Petra!!  It stinks when you have a moment of inspired genuis  and POOF!!-  GONE!! BTW,  Everything you do is RBRILLIANT!!  But in my world, it's the thought that counts anuway !! 🙂  So thank you for whatever it was you said!! 

Okay, I have heard from Saint Martha.     To quote her:  "I just love our Tripawd Family" And i Couldn't agree more!  Ive said it so many times, you guys represent the best of humanity!!!

   We're going to continue with Team Frankie's YouCaring site  unleashed  for awhile longer!! 

I'm going to get as "best guess" as I can from the Rehaab Vet as to how many more sessions she thinks it will take to stop Frankie from being the "Leaning Tower of Pisa" and using that leg in a way that relieves pressure on his other two.

I already discussed in our last session getting the  fee down by eliminating the Laser and, asap, eliminating the cost of her Assistant.  Unfortunately Dr Weedle is "Mobile home visit only" and thats a big part of the fee.  She has no physical office.

I'll put all that in the YouCaring site as that's a more appropriate spot for that input opposed to here.

 basically she says he's "cheatin'! He just "looks good" because the faster pace fools the causal observer...me!  My words, not hers!

Oh, this past visit she did try holding his good rear leg up forcing him to use the other.  No go..  His other leg gave way...just wasn't strong enough yet.
