Sooooooooo wonderful to see you and your doggies, absolutely loved Karen saying people look at disabilities but one should look at dog's abilities instead, well said 👌🏽👍🏼

Hey everyone!

Just letting you all know that my tripawed Great Dane will be on The CBS Sunday Morning show on March 12th!! He was filmed at the beginning of Feb at Tufts. The segment is about dogs who are part of an osteosarcoma clinical trial. I am super excited that we got to be a part of it 🙂

Shelby Lynne; Jack Russell/Shiba Inu mix. Proud member of the April Angels of 2014.

October 15, 2000 to April 8, 2014

Our story: Broke rear leg in June 2013 - non-conclusive results for cancer so leg was plated and pinned. Enlarged spleen in September 2013 and had it removed and was diagnosed with Hemangiosarcoma and started chemotherapy. Became a Tripawd January 8th, 2014 and definitive Hemangiosarcoma diagnosis. Three major surgeries in 7 months and Shelby took them all like a champ only to lose her battle to cancer in her brain. We had 8 amazing extra months together and no regrets. #shelbystrong #loveofmylife

Check out This Story of a 12 year old boy named Scharn who lost his leg and hip to bone cancer. When he woke up after surgery he said he wanted a three legged dog!

It looks like he just got his wish, Tripawd Logan joined the family on March 2nd.

Tri-pug Maggie survived a 4.5 year mast cell cancer battle only to be lost to oral melanoma.

Here's a link to my piece in today's Guardian about the Virginia Tripawds Pawty. On reading it, I am struck by how surface it seems, not only because it was cut (which it was, substantially) but also because it's just impossible to capture in 2000 words the richness and diversity of what this community offers. I could easily have written an article (okay, a book) on any single one of you and it's hard to see people I talked to for hours represented by a single line quote, or, even worse, not portrayed at all. I'm afraid that is really the nature of the game, but it does leave me feeling a touch regretful. (I particularly regret the lack on info on cat amputation). I apologise if there are things you feel are important which aren't included here (and there certainly are). At the very least, I hope the piece will help to spread the word about Tripawds and bring more people to the site, where they will be able to discover this magical community for themselves.
