Ok, so Brownie must agree with me. As soon as I posted his Banner popped up❤

My Beautiful Beloved Brownie was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma on February 26, 2019.  With all odds against him he lived an additional one year and eight days with amputation, love, and prayer.  I was honored to be his mom, and I have never been so proud!  He will live forever in my Heart!

FWIW, my regular Vet did a leg xray on one of my dogs and told me the bad news that she saw osteo.  Even though she felt cer in what she saw,  just to be sure ahe would send it to a specialist (can't  remember if she said an Ortho Surgeon or Radiologist...or maybe one in the same).   It was a Friday and the Specialist wouldn't ve in til Monday afternoon.  Finally got the GREAT news it was NOT  osteo, but rather some distortion from the xray.

Sooooo....it certainly  may NOT be anything bad at  all....just s distortion on the xray!!!!   I think you have every reason to feel optimistic!!!

Hugs

Sally and Alumni Happy Hannah and Merry Myrtle and Frankie too!

Happy Hannah had a glorious additional bonus time of over one yr & two months after amp for osteo! She made me laugh everyday! Joined April's Angels after send off meal of steak, ice cream, M&Ms & deer poop!

Well that's great you had the other practice review his case, and it really does sound hopeful! I'm so glad you did that.

Hard to say what your regular vet was thinking but never hesitate to respectfully ask all the questions you want OK? Even if it means calling back later. You are paying their bill, you can ask any questions that come up and don't be shy. When you advocate for Remi at the vet, it feels so much better in the long run. And great vets want educated, confident clients too so it's a win-win.

I'm with Nancy: start your research with The Dog Cancer Survival Guide . I've never heard of Fenbendazole for cancer, please use a lot of care in what you read and follow on the Internet. There are SO many scams and crazy "treatments" promoted by unscrupulous people, that they will rob you blind so be very careful. Your oncologist is the best person to work with when you want to discuss therapies. The Survival Guide is awesome because it's written by vets with legitimate resources, therapies and information for you to discuss with Remi's team.

Did I share the Questions to Ask Your Oncologist list yet?

Use care with that brace OK? I honestly don't recommend messing with the leg right now even though it seems to be calming him. The best way to help him relax and chill is through interactive brain games, so check 'em out!

And oh, MERRY PAWLIDAYS to all of you! Hang in there, you'll get through this and be a stronger pack because of it. We are here to help every step of the way!

After reading what Jerry wrote I just remembered something. Before I was going to amputate I was looking on Amazon for a brace. I was afraid while I was at work Brownie would fracture his leg. So I asked my vet and he said "don't do it". He said I see where you are going and thinking with this, but it could cause more harm then good. Sorry I didn't remember that earlier.

And yes there are alot of scams! It is horrible how people will use others people's misfortune for profit! I was researching day and night. I saw alot of products, but when I read reviews and did more research I knew it was a scam. There is no miracle drug. But in the book The Dr. does recommend supplements that may slow down the spread of Cancer, and Remi will love the recipes!

Let us know how he is doing, and I would live to see more pics of your beautiful boy.
