How wonderful! I'm so glad he is doing better.

We call them strollers here in the US, although sometimes I call them chariots!  I actually have two (my fleet) and all four of my small dog pack (past and present) have used them for one reason or another.  It also adds a level of difficulty to my walks, which I usually need big-blink.

Keep up the good work on your exercises!

Hi all.

Were 6 weeks post the accident now and Hamish is practically back to normal. We’re still building up his walks, he has ten minutes now and wants to carry on but we’re told it’s important not to rush things! He’s starting hydro this week and thanks to physio is now standing better and more in line than he was pre the accident!

Lessons learnt from this experience:

- post amputation, get your dog to physio straight away, even if your vet says he doesn’t need it

- Listen to all the tips post amputation, give the supliments, do the exercises, get them to hydro

- Do your own research and follow it - not all vets will suggest all the options - they certainly didn’t with Hamish

- If you’re in trouble, share your story here as you’ll get great input and support

- Appreciate every day with your tripawd

hi all, just wanted to let you know Hamish is still doing great, we’re on 20 minute walks now hoping to go up to 25 next week. Hydro is going great but he sleeps for hours after it!!! Hopefully you can all see the video, take care all!

Aww THANK YOU! This is wonderful! I love that you shared the video, so many people will be inspired by watching him swim like a pro.

I especially love that your physio centre is using the Ruffwear Float Coat, which is the very best doggie life jacket available (we won't carry any others in our store!).

Hamish is doing superb! Kudos to you for remaining so strong and optimistic during the roughest times of recovery. You are both rock stars! superstar
