THANK YOU SO MUCH EVERYONE!!! E V E R Y O N E!!!! 🙂 🙂 🙂

Because it takes me so long to typo,I'm copying an email I just sent Michelle as a way of giving you an update.!!! Wont get into the backstory avout the Smokey Assi Loop. I'll just say that Michelle sure does a good job of looking out for myself and Frankie....for ALL of us!!!

And I'll also add that Assis Loop's Customer Service gets the highest rating possible!!! I wish I could remeberw their Representative's name. She did them proud!

Soe here's the UPDATE through my email to Michelle!!

THANK YOU YET AGAIN MICHELLE FOR YOUR......YOUR. EVERYTHING!!! 🙂

Soooooo....I just got off the phone with Assis Loop....eplained about the small.one coming apart and asking "does it still work if I'm able to seemingly reconnect it. . BTW,no it doesn't still "work". The blinking kight merely means the battery is working.

THE ARE SENDING ME NEW ONE.....A LARGE NEW ONE ...FREE!!!!!!!!!!!!

As it turned out, that particular serial number had issues coming apart and they revised it and made it better!!!!! So, the Rehab Vet didn't "really" break it, as it was already prone to coming apart anyway. She just gave it a little help!

I can now turn back in the one the Rehab rented me!! That means more funds for " Frankie,specific-rehab"!!!
And one more thing!! I started calling you to tell you this, but had ro hang up quickly! "Why you ask?"

Because I had the door open because I was going to help Frankie up. Nurse (well meaning vut sooooo jealous) Myrtle heard a "hound dog" barking out in the woods and barreled through the door.....and FRANKIE GOT UP AND WENT RUNNING AS FAST AS HIS TWO LEGS COULD CARRY HIM HOWLING THAT BEAUTIFUL HAPPY, HAPPY, HAPPY HOOOOOWL OF HIS going to go get that hound chasing HIS deer!!! Even though I knew better, I still went running after him (yet again in the dark and with just my socks on) knowing he could outrun me!! . As soon as I did catch up to him, he woukd take off again and go to the other side of the yard! By the time I would get to where I "thought" he was, he was already headed back up the ramp on. TWO!!! O.N. T.W.O!!!!

He was estatic!!!! It was the first rime I got to "fully" see FRANKIE BE FRANKIE in the way that makes FRANKIE BE SOOOO HAPPY!!! Came back in and collapsed before he got to his Barker Bed, but I helped him and now, of course, he's exhausted but so darn pleased with hi self!!! I swear thst dog is smiling!!!

I KNOW he should not be doing this!! I KNOW that!! Somplease don't get me wrong, I KNOW he needs ro go slowwwwly and learn to slooooooowly learn to use that leg and take the weight off the other two. Right now though, It's not as much about "learning to use the leg" as it is it's just not ready to have weight on it. Yes, a four legger can test the waters slowly. A two legger.....it has to be READY for weight hearing from the get-go. No "testing the waters" luxury. But right now, without a second person, he's gonna do it his way or not at all! And not at all is not an option he's willing to consider!!!! And there IS HEALING POWER for Frankie to still be Frankie!!

Love always!!!!

Well Frankie isn't named "Frankie Doin' it my way Sinatra Holladay" for nothing.  That boy knows what he wants and going to get it one way or another.  At least you can see that boy has humongous core strength 😳  It'll all come at some point....maybe Frankie knows that leg can't support him yet fully and he knows better than any ole vet.  The rehab will help him test that leg out at his pace with two holding him and I think he'll know when he's ready.  I've got to take my hat off to that boy......he doesn't seem to have the words "you can't" in his vocabulary.  Quite a remarkable boy when you think of it......so Frankie you can do it but please be a bit careful ok?  Love and hugs to you all!  XXXOOO

I know it does your heart good to see Frankie be Frankie - we won't scold you for that! But do be careful; we don't need Myrtly nursing another patient. I'm so glad you're getting a new, bigger and improved loop. Indeed the Christmas magic continues.  Continued love and hugs coming your way.

Yes Stewie! MyLanta indeed!   And yes!   Exhilarated and ready to throw up from fear at the same time!! way-cool

Yes Linda, I was actually thinking that Fra kie DOES know what he's doing!  Maybe I'm just trying to soothe my nerves ,  ut I DO think HE will k ow when that leg is ready for pressure.   I just pray to doG, God, Buddha, Universe, Higher Power et all that his two legs stay protected while hes DOING IT HIS WAY!!!   I DO think the speed he uses keeps LESS pressure off his TWO legs than when two peole are tryi g to walk him and make him lit "that" leg down.  Again, maybe just trying to placate my impatient self!

As soon as Youtube srips taking three days to @oad a 20 second video, I'll show you how happy he was with his hound chasing (in his mind) adventure!way-cool

Sally, quick question... when you download videos, do you go from your Library on your pad to utube, or do you do it the other way around?

I tried going from my iPad library to utube, but like you say, it takes a million years. If I go onto my utube account and download from my library there, it downloads much quicker.... just wondering if this might be of some help in downloading speed.

love ya!

Petra

Frankie is such a rock star with his glasses on! (Let's face it, he's a rock star even when he doesn't have them on).

David and Rocky (and Baxter now too!)

Rocky had his right front leg amputated on Valentine's Day 2017 after being diagnosed with osteosarcoma.

He joined the September Saints on September 3, 2017.

He is the toughest, bravest, sweetest and best friend I'll ever know.

EActually Petra, this one loaded fairly quickly.the "old" way.

So here we have  Frankie and Nurse Merry Myrtle singing along joyfully to celebrate FRANKIE BEING FRANKIE and chasing and howling after "that" hound  chasing "his" deer.

PS.  THanks David. We need a BAXTER fix!  Any pictures of his first Christmas with someone who cares??

Great! I've been waiting for a howl. big-grin

I really can't say much about keeping pets inside to recover. As you know Mona escaped from the house for over 24 hours before I found her. She also likes to do it her way.

My suggestion - always wear shoes, even to bed.

Hugs to all,

Kerren
