I guess when we all start this journey - no  matter what we may say or tell each other, in the back of our mind we all wonder when we will be sitting at the keyboard typing these words..... Cooper my best friend in the whole world, mighty warrior of cancer has left on his own terms. Cooper was never a fast dog, he never was a noisy dog, he had a heart bigger than Texas and a gentle spirit like none other. But I have learned , that you do not have to be fast, or loud or mean spirited to be a mighty warrior. Cooper was the mightiest warrior ever. And Today  Cooper and I say... TO HELL WITH CANCER!!

We heard The COUGH some 2 months ago, started out thinking it was allergies learned that it wasnt. Cooper never ever gave up living and loving, he never complained. The last 2 days Cooper declined rapidly - we put him on prednisone just 2 days ago. By last night at 10 pm we both felt that Cooper was not long for this world, in fact we now felt Cooper was starting to suffer where he had not appeared to at all in the past. We had made the decision that this morning I would likely get everyone started at work , then take Cooper to the vet and release him. I talked to Cooper shortly before we went to bed and held his beautiful head in my hands and yold him he could go if he needed to, that he didnt have to fight for us anymore. I prayed before I went to sleep that if were indeed time that God would let Cooper just slip away in his sleep. When we got up this morning... our warrior had left us. He had laid down at one of his favorite spots and went to sleep. It looks as though he went peacefully. Today my hero and Angels Comet and Fortis and Mackenzie and Trouble have met face to face, what a day for all of them, Cooper is so grateful as are we for your support during the 9 months of our journey.

Goodbye sweet Cooper I love you with all of my heart!!

Cynthia and Isabelle thank you so very much for that beautiful tribute to my gentle giant ... tears have flowed heavily this morning - but not as greatly as when I heard my sweet boys voice in the video you created, but know that it was a release of the real tears of agony that I had not yet been able to release... the release I needed so very much, thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Ken and Faith,

I'm so sorry.  No matter how much we try to prepare ourselves, this day comes way too quickly for any of us.  Cooper was indeed brave and mighty, and will be missed by all of us.  The monkeydog angels better be on their best behavior, because now they have Cometdog AND Cooper to keep them in line.  My thoughts and prayers are with you today.

Sadie is my 9yr old Rott/Shepherd mix. Diagnosed with osteosarcoma in her right scapula 1/28/10. Our brave girl had her amputation 2/13/10 and her last chemotherapy on 6/6/10. Unfortunately, a tumor appeared in her back right leg and on 10/7/2010 Sadie's earthly journey came to an end.  On 10/24/2010 we adopted Ranger, a handsome Rott/Lab mix tripawd (got hit by a car) I think Sadie sent him to us.

I'm so saddened by this news. Cooper will always be remembered in our hearts, and he will always be our fearless leader against those annoying monkeybutt type dogs. My heart breaks for you both. Know that Skyler & Chloe are also there at Rainbow Bridge to greet him, and to flirt with him...

RIP Sooper Dooper Cooper.

I'll write when I can compose myself.  Right now, I have to grieve the loss of our beloved Coopie who touched us and made us fall in love with him.

Her Retired AvatarComet - 1999 to 2011

She departed us unexpectedly  January 23, 2011 at the age of 12 1/2.

She was born with a deformed front leg and a tripawd all of her life.
