LOL! I almost spit my coffee out my nose! OMG thanks for the adorable videos, it's so fun to watch these guys get so happy about eating! 
Hank is one smart doggie to figure out how to dump that slow feeder. Wow not even Wyatt did that.
Dumping food out is perfectly fine, it's great way to have a dog or cat "work" for their food.

Great job Sally. You will get there. Teach them wait which you are kinda doing but put that command to it and they will associate you telling them to wait and then getting their food.
Sasha hasn't figured out how to dump the slow feeder bowl (good thing). Only dog I have had that i have had to get one for.
Keep on working with them and you will get them to where you want them. 🙂 If they know sit make them sit for their food. That's what i do with mine.

Maybe I missed it, but how did Hank and Cash end up in a rescue? They are so cute and look like such good dogs and so happy!!!
My Beautiful Beloved Brownie was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma on February 26, 2019. With all odds against him he lived an additional one year and eight days with amputation, love, and prayer. I was honored to be his mom, and I have never been so proud! He will live forever in my Heart!

Okay......thrilled to offer a pupdate:
Although Hank and Cash probably had very little socializing with humans prior to Caring for Creatures, they have the sweetest temperaments. They're still getting used to whether they like just being petted and getting ear rubs and butt scratches as a daily occurrence They've been very chill when it comes to Frankie and Myrtle, And Frankie and Myrtle have been fairly tolerant too. Hank is a full out live wire high energy strong willed hound who follows his nose. Frankie likes to correct him very vocally and tries to tell me when Hank is misbehaving. Of course running wild thru the house is misbehaving in Frankie's world. Frankie is a high energy live wire strong willed dog too.....but one who understands "house rules" (when he wants to).
Cash's energy is a bit more subdued relatively speaking and Myrtle tends to not avoid Cash like she does Hank.
Cash (tripawd) is petrified of thunder storms. Hank not too concerned about them.
Cash is starting to maybe understand he will always be fed. Hank not convinced at all yet. It's funny (and sad) how he goes into a feeding frenzy when he is fed. He gets way too over the top excited.
As bonded as they are, Hank doesn't want Cash getting any attention and happily bullies Cash out of the way,
Cash likes stuffies to take under a certain boxwood. Sometimes he destroys them, sometimes just places them there and hops away
I guess I would say the main trait they are both exhibiting (and did so very quickly) is being happy, happy, happy!!! The tail wags are truly non stip (except when sleeping). They truly have joy in their eyes that glistens. Everything is exciting to them and they love just wandering around checking out their yard and finding special places to lay in the sun together....always together♥️♥️
Right now their world is full of wonderment and discovery. Will they ever be lap snugglers or sit and wait patiently for ther food? I dont think that's who they are or who they want to be (not now anyway). What matters right now is they are happy hounds allowed to just "be" who they are. And being who they "are" means still singing the song their people with piercing howls at various times during the night. Nope, not thrilled about that but, again....it's who they are as hounds and what hounds do.
Knocking on wood....no outward signs of their heart issues getting worse for either Hank or Cash. Hank still has some sight.YAY. Cash's mobility will always be an issue and, for now, it's not any worse than when I got him. He eats sitting down and only makes short visits to the yard for potty, stuffie planting and a little sniffing.. His "pig in the blanket" still doesn't have enough blanket.

Great update. I'm delighted to see everyone is getting along and doing so well.
Sally, have you heard of Sileo? It might be something to try for Cash in the future. Our kitty vet prescribed this for Saxton; (It's used off-label for cats); he is also terrified of storms, guns, loud noises, vacuum, and fireworks. So we are trialing it today to use as a previsit med and for all of the above. It's supposed to be very safe. The reviews are excellent; We are impressed with all we have read about it. We hope this will help Saxton's anxiety; it is our third med trial. THIRD time is the charm right;) Anyway, I thought id share in case it could help Cash in the future.
I agree it's funny, cute, and sad how excited Hank is for his food. But, I think it will take a while to be convinced. The dear boy was starving; he will always enjoy his mealtime & being home and loved.

That was the purrfect pupdate to start my Friyay off They are all adjusting to each other, which sounds fantastic! Earplugs might help drown out the wooo wooo woooooo in the middle of the night?! 
I have to say, just the thought of it made me cringe and giggle at the same time, hahah. As a somewhat sleep deprived person, I have found a new bff... sleep earbuds. I put them on and it's lights out for mama
They sound over the moon happy, makes my heart smile. You were the biggest gift a pupper could ever ask for and they hit the jackpot with you Sally

Love love love the latest glimpses into the life of your new pack! If I didn't know any better I'd swear that you sit out on your porch and study their interactions all day long. You catch every little subtle behavior and reaction it seems, which makes you the ultimate dog whisperer. I mean it!
So it sounds like they're all pretty used to the idea that they're stuck with each other? That didn't take long at all, I'm so impressed. And no scuffles either? Sally, it's your energy, your loving, happy, and calm attitude that is infectious. What lucky dogs they all are to have a leader like you. I think at some point you need to write out exactly what you did and looked for while introducing the dogs together.
I can only image how happy Cash and Hank are now, living on your beautiful property and never smelling the same scent twice. They have so many things to keep them occupied, and will never be bored. You have done such a wonderful thing for these pupperz!
That would be interesting if the Sileo worked out. Thanks for mentioning it Holly, I didn't know anything about that med but it sounds promising. Paws crossed it works well for Saxton!

Jerry, no scuffles at all (knocking on wood). Hahaha....trust me, no special "skill" at al! Kind of you to think so though!! I do love watching any of the old (or new) Cesar Millan shows. I'm sure I've picked up many "dog whisperer" tips from him and from the wise members here👍 Everything I do with them is from a place of just plain fun. At the moment, the only "expectation " I have of Hank and Cash is just to be happy and to feel safe and secure............and maybe not knock me down!!

The first two show some improvement....SOME improvement on not being bum rushed when Inopen the door. The second one (or third) show SOME improvement in not bowling me over to get a trear.
Now we have Cash practicing liking being petted. A pote trial Lap dog in the making
And then we have Hank just loving veing Happy. Look at that tail wagging so jard!
DRUM ROLL PLEASE!!! In just three short weeks, Hank has mastered the art of coming straight to me when I call his name!! THIS IS A HUGE VICTORY!! No treats were involved, no leashes. Just pure bonding between hooman and dog😎

These are so precious! I think I saw Cash caving with those ear rubs. There was the beginning of a smile and...ohh yeah, I could get used to this look on his face. Lap next, I thought he was going to attempt it while you were rubbing his ear! I can see them looking more settled and my goodness.. they look so happy
The patience you have is really just amazing. And they feel your love and gentle guidance. They are soaking it in like sponges! They finally have a stable, loving home and they know it.
