Sally, don't you think the Tripawd Brothers should have their own Forum???

My Beautiful Beloved Brownie was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma on February 26, 2019.  With all odds against him he lived an additional one year and eight days with amputation, love, and prayer.  I was honored to be his mom, and I have never been so proud!  He will live forever in my Heart!

Hmmmm....just might have to do that "Tripawd Brother' thread.  Certainly  would cover lots of tripawd issues, that's for sure......TPLO, Cruciate Repair, Arthritis, Elbow Dysplasia.....just for starters!🤪

And thanks Holly. Yeah, pretty sure the travels of the nighttime critters add an extra layer of joy for the hounds.

Just ignore my "chronicling ":    Day 12 still separated  by fence, but no problem eating treats "side by side'...... not focused on each other at all.  Well,  Hank & Cash happily focusing on trying to get each other's treat.  And thanks to a beloved kitty member, these pups have an abundance of healthy trsts!

Ignore these guys? Oh my dog how could we!

I love the meal they sort of shared. What a great way to get them used to eating in the same space. Brilliant!

Well, if I keep chronicling  daily, sooner or later. "Ignoring" will be a lovely reprieve

For now though...some. more chronicling !  And if I say so myself, it will be hard to "ignore" these  videos

DAY 12 ...We  have "merger" with Frankie and Cash and Hank in the SAME yard!!! 👏👏 This is in the "front yard" where Hank and Cash are.

You'll see a little play posture going on.  Hank is rough and rowdy.  All of the sudden he found his inner puppy.  Before the video kicked in, Hank was running zoomies around myself and Frankie.  Frankie is high energy and of course, very vocal, but not as powerful as Hank so I need to take their excitement  level down a notch or two.   But I'm thrilled with today's progress!!   Absolutely  thrilled!!

Sweet Cash is not in the best of shape, so not interested in any rough housing.  But as you can see, Frankie and Cash are just fine together  too.

I'll work on merging with Myrtle  later.  Right now with fence inbetween she seems just fine.Gonna take Jackie'saadvice and probably  have Cash (,over energy)  in the house first and then bring Myrtle in  😎

PS....Taking both Hank and Cash in for their first furever  home check up.  Just gonna do bare minimum with Hank for now, but sweet Cash may need more in depth stuff.

For your viewing pleasure that just simply cant be ignored............🤣😉

And off topic. but fun....blind Myrtle "catching" a Cheeto.  She likes to think she can still "catch" stuff.  And of course Frankie catching  with laser focus

You guys are da' best!!!!   Thank you so much for celebrating  with us

The boys had their check up.  Nothing too elaborate  at this point.  Just doing an 'as neccessary  basis"

.  Vet felt like both boys were around a "4" as far as their heart issues.  No intervention  needed for now.

Hank definitely  has the filed down teeth, but Cah's look good

Didn't  observe anynjaw issues with Cash...may habeen that it "healed"  He's eating just fine...does drink water in  a bit weird way., so just an awareness.

Cash's elbow appears to basically be fused together now...guess a combomof deformity and arthritis setting end.  No range of motion like it should be.  Oddly enough, she felt like, while awkward walking and using a .ot of effort to walk, not the best for his other legs, pain wasn't  an issue. Just keeping things chunked down as far as priorities,  but at some point soon  I will get him evaluated further with a Rehab firat.

So, rather than explain her technical terms, I'll do Sally speak.  His boy parts are like a pig in a blanket.  There isnt enough blanket to cover his pig....that whaynhis pig sticks out almost all the time.  But it still goes under the blanket sometimes  so I'll keep watch on it

So some deformity issues probably  from birth for these too, but what matters is TH3Y ARE HAPPY, HAPPY BOYS and are living their best life now!!!

So Hank and Myrtle have interacted in the house now for a few moments at a time ...basically sniff and ignore.  Cash is hesitant  to even go in the house for now, so that will evolve at their own pace

Tuesday was 2 week gotchabersary and looky...looky

Awwwwww! Look at that! Two weeks and they're snuggling with Frankie? AMAZING! smiley_clap

This is the funniest clinical description we've ever heard! LOL! Sally you crack us up.

Glad they checked out well with the vet for general health issues.  Good job!

And yes when you are read for the rehab therapist you know what to do as far as the Rehab Reimbursement Grant!

Happy 2 Week gotchabersar Hank & Cash😁

No interventions needed right now🙌🏻👏🏻!!

We can only imagine what those dear boys have been thru. But, that's the past, guys; this is the present! 🎁 what a gift for you all!

Sally, LOL on your techincial speak icon_lol Glad to read the pig goes in the blanket sometimes. I've only had girl dogs, so I am clueless. I would think that would be uncomfortable and chilly! Hopefully, it does not cause any issues.

Glad to hear Cashy is not in pain! Excellent on the rehab visit & tripawds helps with the first visit!!! smiley_clapThey will have further insight & suggestions I'm sure.

but what matters is TH3Y ARE HAPPY, HAPPY BOYS and are living their best life now!!!

YES, THAT'S ALL THAT EVER MATTERS HAPPY, LOVED, CARED FOR, AND LIVING THE BEST LIFE! THANKS TO YOU, SALLY!

OMC AWE How adorable is this pic!😍🥰😍

Precisely what I figured we would see! This soon? Ha, no way! Too sweet!

Love & smooches to the gang, please!

So tomorrow will be three weeks for Gotxha' Day♥️♥️

So this is how "training" is going with two hounds who have no clue about anything along those lines.  And that's  okay with me.  I love letting dogs be dogs.......however........just a few basics like being able to open a door without being bum rushed....or not having their food bowl knocked out of my hand......little niceties  like that😎

So training video number one....me quietly opening the door and having  Hank and Cash patiently and with calm energy  sit and wait  for their food.  Well. that's  the visualization  I have going on in my head.😉

Second video Hank calmly goes over to the ""place" he has picked as his dining  area. YA!   He "waits" calmly as I give him his food.  Again, my visualizing  the outcome🤣   Actually progress is being made with Hank.....he holds still for ONE SECOND when I hold up my hand!  YAY!

Oh, and the reson I dump his food out of the bowl is to try and slow him down a tiny bit when eating.  He has learned to dump his "slow feeder bowl" over so this stops him a tiny bit from inhaling  his food.  Cash is fine eating out of his bowl.  I have to leash Hank as he finishes  to keep him from running over to Cash's bowl.  No food aggression  with either....just thinking  he will never be feed again and must eat everything  in sight fast as can be!😱
