That is really great news! I giggled through your whole post Sally... I know she is a lot of dog with a big headstrong heart, but it did my heart good too for the "professional" to finally see what you go through on a daily basis. Determination and love are what get you through it.. kind of like me and Mitchells nails ( and yes, I did that for a living so even funnier!)
I hope the other pupsters are doing well... how is Frankie's leg?
Just FYI... Angel Rosie has been tapping me on the shoulder of late.... a lot. She may have Angel snail mailed something to you... just a head's up to keep an eye on your mail somewhere around the 28th from what I understand 🕊🐾💖🐾🕊
Hugs and love to all, furry, not furry, two legs, three legs, and four

Oh goodness Jackie! Tell Angel Rosie I'm like a kid at Christmas when I get something jn the mail that's a surprise. And it's always a surprise when it's not a bill!! Yeah, knocking on wood, Frankie's doing very well, all things considered! Had to laugh that you are a PROFESSIONAL nail trimmer...but no one told Mitchell! 😚😚😚
Thanks Paula! 😚😚😚Nope, no more drops or gel!! YAY!!! And Frankie's still being Frankie (knocking on wood)! Nellie is getting lots of extra attention, but I can tell she still misses our sweet Bob. I try and repeat some of the rituals she had with Bob, but using Myrtle and Frankie as 'stand-ins" instead. .Shes's not buying it

Great update. I am so glad things are going well for Myrtle 🙂 I had to chuckle a little about the eye drop thing. Such a great thing that this happened and Myrtle is feeling more like herself.
OH Frankie don't be too much of yourself and get into trouble. I am sorry that Nellie is having a hard time without her side kick Bob. I know you are doing what you can to make her comfortable.

I am having this vision of the Vet trying to get those drops in. Kind of like me telling my Vet it takes me 2 weeks to get all of Chandler’s nails trimmed and then watching him struggle to do it. 😉 Glad to hear her pain is all gone! ❤️
TY GUY, Best Black Lab ever! Diagnosed and had amp in January, 2014. Kicked MRSA's butt. Earned his angel wings on April 16, 2014. Run Free my boy and don't forget a shoe. Zoe had a non skeletal Osteosarcoma removed in July 2015. No Chemo, she was at least 16. She is going strong although she is now completely blind. She is now close to 20 and her hobbies are eating and sleeping in front of her personal heater.
We love that Vlind Rock Star of yours Sally! Thanks for the pupdate. She is such a strong, spunky girl. So glad to hear the procedure worked and things are good with her and overall the rest of the critters. I'm sure that Nellie will find her own new routines with everyone to fill that hole in her heart. Dogs are so resilient.
Yay! Time to breathe and thank the Universe for some calm among the pack. Whew!

Very, very short clip, but I couldn't help but post it. Frankie went running down the fence line barking because he saw a cat in the other side. Qhen Frankie takes off like that, Myrtle will jump up and take a couple of steps like she's getting ready to run after him...then she stops. Her blindness gets in her way.
Well, today she pranced down the ramp embracing her Blind RockStar onfidence and focus, determined to go "get that cat"!! Although she was off target by about six or seven feet, she started grabbing and tearing down vines to get to the cat (laying in the sun safely on the other side). Before I could film her, she also was trying to chew through the fence and the post! Oh, and of course the "vine" was poison oak which I am HIGHLY allergic to! That's alright, just seeing her reclaim her confidence and her fun times......yeah, worth the itches!
And then she a Frankie came in for a nap. Love the way they sleep together, always touching ❤❤

Oh goodness NO!! Poison Oak!!! Please wash her face before she smooches you!! Fels Naphtha seems to take the oils off your skin. An old Veteran taught me that one. Grocery store with laundry stuff... it's cheap and easy! I keep it in the shower to scrub areas that may have come in contact plus places that start to bubble. Dang Myrtle!! Couldn't you have found a weed to pull?!!
And on the other hand... that's adorable❤ So glad they are both still spry and loving life 🥰🥰🥰🤗
Adorable photo by the way 😊
Hugs to all of you, you are totally rocking this better than most of us could.

Oh Sally,
This is the first time I have seen pictures of Frankie and Myrtle. They are absolutely beautiful and look so so HAPPY! You are a good mom!
My Beautiful Beloved Brownie was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma on February 26, 2019. With all odds against him he lived an additional one year and eight days with amputation, love, and prayer. I was honored to be his mom, and I have never been so proud! He will live forever in my Heart!

Way to go Myrtle. You teach that vine a thing or too. Sally I hope you do not get the poison oak. Yikes not a good thing at all.
I am so glad to see her doing so well 🙂 That is an improvement even from May. She is doing a lot better gaining more confidence all the time.

Hugs ❤ Bev, nurse Moe cat, Autumn's Angel Roane & Angel dog Gypsy 🐾
My sweet soulmate Roane was diagnosed with osteo in June of 2019. Had a rear leg amp on July 2nd & crossed the rainbow bridge to be with her sister Gypsy on the first day of Autumn Sept 23 2019.
How wonderful Sally! She really looks confident, and well, just "dog". Hope you don't suffer too much with the poison oak, but I agree, it's probably worth it!
Paula and Warrior Angel Nitro
Nitro 11 1/2 yr old Doberman; right front amp June 2014. Had 6 doses carboplatin, followed by metronomic therapy. Rocked it on 3 legs for over 3 years! My Warrior beat cancer, but couldn't beat old age. He crossed the Bridge peacefully on July 25, 2017, with dignity and on his terms. Follow his blog entitled "Doberman's journey"
"Be good, mama loves you".....run free my beautiful Warrior
I can never get enough of Myrtle and Frankie! I love how they are always touching when sleeping, if they're not in a pile .

Okay, there is good news here and Merry Myrtle is okay........
Sooo, guess it's been a out a yearish when Merry Myrtle had that surgery that would remove her pain (of course along with any chance of restoring eyesight...which was definitely gone anyway).
So leave it to Myrtle to start showing some signs of pain and her eyes never did "shrink some". Of course the Dr said he very, very rarely needed to re-do the procedure. In fact, maybe he said he necer did.
Aoooo baxk yo rhe flippin" drops for awhile. One eye got better. The other eye still had some pressure pain. Jad ne wait ninety days and being her back today.
Pressure in left eye: 15. YAAAAAAAAAAY he said YAAAAAAY
Pressure in right eye: 15. YAAAAAAAAY. he said YAAAAAAAY
Merry Mrtle said YAY vecause ahe fot a Starbucks before the appointment and then I got her one after the appointment!!!
And, of course, I can use this as an excuse to post a picture...or two
