It's def a battle of the wills but we get by. He's finally kind of getting that it makes his eyes more comfortable but if I'm not down on the floor with him forgetaboutit🤯🤯

Long ago, Pie used to get constant eye infections as she had ingrowing eyelashes, which were ultimately removed. Physically, this did not present much of a problem as she was a much smaller bundle of love (about the size of the cookie monster’s head) and although a trembling Pie, a pretty compliant one. I did find I preferred the gel to the drops though, as it seemed to stay in longer and was just more effective. I’m sure if you are smearing it I somehow, enough is getting where it needs to go.

I did a vid of Obie getting his eye meds today.
Remember that Obie is a pro, he has been getting at least two ointments or drops twice a day for more than 8.5 years.
I don't actually touch his eye with the tip of the ointment- it's a little hard to see but I'm just wiping the ointment into his eye.
I hope this might help you a little, at least there are Pugs and Mutts crunching treats!

So sweet of you Karen to do this for Sally and others who may need this at some point! Obie for sure is a pro! I love how he knows when he is done and jumps right up like ok that's it 😂. This isn't his first rodeo lol.

Merry Myrtle had her two week check up today after her gifted surgery and her eye pressure is great! One eye is at 20, one at 12. Within normal range!!
And...tee..hee.... he had such a hard time getting the drops in to numb her eyes before the pressure test. It's so wrong of me to be tickled, but it does tickle me!! 😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣 And this was with me helping him!!!😎 He said something like, "she just will NOT let me do this....and I'm really good at it too!! And she's REALLY good at not allowing it!!" Pretty sure he used half the bottle on just trying to get drops in one eye. Shhh....tee hee.....I so proud 😉
Going back in six months for a check up. She enjoys the trips, the attention and the Puppacino!!
She IS my sweet Vlind RockStar and her personalized harness is quite the conversation piece.

Hi Sally - glad to see an update, I was wondering how things were going. It is funny that the vet had so much trouble with the drops! Do you still have to do this for her? For how long, forever? Nitro 11 1/2 yr old Doberman; right front amp June 2014. Had 6 doses carboplatin, followed by metronomic therapy. Rocked it on 3 legs for over 3 years!
