Great video Sally! Myrtle playing, Frankie yelling, and you? Clicking? Or was that applause?

I've thought of you and your canine clan often. I'm sure these are challenges times but I must say your family looks happy. I think Merry Myrtle needs some bubble wrap to pop.

Warm hugs for all,

Kerren, Eli and Miss Mona

Thank you everyone for your supportive and fun posts❤

An update on Merry Myrtle the Blind RockStar.  As you know, Feankie was able to get his TPLO operation because of some very, very kind  and generous Christmas Angel's who made that miracle possible💖

I mentioned  in September  I was going to proceed with the "injection route" when I could.  Well, another Christmas Angel didn't  want Merry Myrtle to be left out.  And if you've ever dealt with Christmas Angel's,  no matter how hard you try to deflect, no matter how hard you try and change the subject, no ,matter  how many times you tell them everything  is fine, they keep on pushing. So annoying!😉😉😉    And I must say, I'm  pretty good at "deflecting".  So, back then,  I finally ended up  saying I was shooting for getting the surgery done over Christmas as soon as I could get things "lined up".  Never try and fool with a Christmas Angel!

Let's  just put it this way.  Merry Myrtle is scheduled for the surgery  this coming Monday for the injection route in both eyes!😎😎

I feel like I have all my questions  answered.

I CAN do a gel/salve that he will fix up instead of drops!  I'll have to do that for about a month

He'll also will give her an anti-inflammatory  pill to supplement  the gel.  I either get antibiotics or an antibiotic  injection (not sure which).

No cone.

Cosmetically  she could possibly get cataracts, but there will be NO pain.  Cosmetically  she could have blood in her eye,  but NO pain.

There would be a follow-up at one month, and then one at six months.

So, that's  where we are!  Merry Myrtle got her very own Christmas  Angel!❤❤

Obviously, Merry Myrtle wasn't  quite as thrilled when I told her what would happen Monday😢😭😖😂

Pretty good at deflecting?????  You're the QUEEN of deflecting 😂  But I know your Christmas Angel is every bit as stubborn as you are. Chuckling here as I watch two of my bestest friends play this out.  So glad your Christmas Angel won this round.  I'm still thinking this may help our Merry Myrtle use her other senses more fully.  Don't worry Myrtle!  This will all help you in the long run.  As always sending you guys all my love and prayers for Monday.  And Myrtle you're not going to feel a thing.  You've got a specialist Dr. who is a pro at this and is going to fix you right up!  ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Oh my goodness.  I am so glad there was a Christmas Angel for Merry Myrtle too.  I know she will feel so much better when this procedure is done.  I am so glad that the Dr. is working with you on the gel vs the drops.

Myrtle you will feel so much better when this is done and you might even be able to use those other senses better.

hugs  and keep us informed on Monday

I have to agree with Myrtle. Needles in my eye? Uh, no thanks.

But don't worry Myrtle, the vets will make sure you don't feel a thing. And you'll feel so much better when it's all over.

Glad you're able to get it done. Sending good thoughts for Monday.
