Yes, guaranteed on follow-ups - I say again, no comparison - every three to four months at the girl's age if all is going WELL!
Ours is every 3 months if all is good. If there are issues or a med change (dosage) once a month. It all depends on the labs and the treatment & monitoring. You will have to see. Get all your info written down and what they have prescribed you thus far🙄—vet records, etc.
You will have 100% SUPPORT and GENIUNE care there. You will never feel like you do now, scrambling and in doubt. It is a gift for you all and in the future as the girls age.
I can't say enough how happy we are you are trying them. I know we will all breathe easier for YOU and the girls!!!
Awe, thanks. I will tell Mr Purrkins & thanks for including Saxton Sally 🫂😘
Here is our Silver Winged Angel Saxton 💔💫

In addition to taking notes at the Vet, I also suggest videoing it.
Happy Hannah had a glorious additional bonus time of over one yr & two months after amp for osteo! She made me laugh everyday! Joined April's Angels after send off meal of steak, ice cream, M&Ms & deer poop!

This is how I make Purrkins milk thistle. I neglected to say what it was (I said liquid) because it works universally on any liquid supplement.
And this is Purrkins getting his cbd (pill) followed by his supplement chaser.
Purrkins has been getting pilled for a year now before all liquid meds & supplements, and this is a very poor example for most cats because Purrkins is so easy going;) I have never had issues with either boy giving them meds.
Once I know what I'm dealing with ( yes, I taste it), I have a way to get it in & it does get in without stress.
Hopefully, these help. Thanks to Mark for videoing. I tried it alone, and I don't have the correct tripod to do a solo video.
Have a good night & let us know please
Hugs
Holly, these videos are AMAZING!!! Thank you to you and Mark! I’m sure there are YouTube videos out there, but they are normally so drawn out with wasted time, so these are awesome cause it’s right to the point! I’m gonna have to give this a try! I’m curious if I can get treat tube at a local store? This way I can buy on or two, try it and if it works, I can go back. I’m gonna list all the suggestions you gave me and bring it to the vet to see what they think. I would like to try to try this new method before the appt first. Of course we are currently experiencing freezing rain and my entire (long) driveway is iced over so I’m stuck at home until that melts. Can you type out exactly what that treat tube is called. I just see the word “baby.”
I’m lucky to have two cats who take meds easily! I don’t need the pill gun for Possum. And now that I am comfortable with giving a pill by hand, I still plan on using the pill gun with Tuni cause I worry that the capsule has a chance to stick to my finger.
Oh and happy 500th post! Haha!
Thank you a friend always called Saxton- Sexy Saxton he was sooo handsome. Both our boys one of a kind and blessed to share our lives with them. Saxton is dearly missed every day💔 he is still helping many kitties. Both the boys were and are the best at all things. I knew the girls were the same way from what you have said.
I used to pill by hand too but when I found this piller game changer for us. I had sooooo many pills to give Saxton I had to find a better solution gel caps and this piller was the ticket for us and now the piller for Purrkins with his CBD. By hand they would spit the pills out on occasion and this way if you line it up right it goes right down the hatch.
The tube I used in this video is Tiki Cat Baby Thrive because it is all I currently have - waiting on my auto-ship:) It's a high-calorie tube, 25 calories a sachet, so it's not ideal (more expensive, but it works the same. I keep Tiki Cat Thrive in my cupboard if Purrkins ever has an off day eating; I syringe the whole tube to him ( tiny sachet, as you see, a whopping 25 calories.)
Any treat tube will work.
Churu is 6 calories a tube or Caru is only 4 calories. They are my favorite for syringing supplements. You can buy four tubes at a time MOST places. It will just depend on the brand available & where you shop. Even Tractor Supply has Churu tubes, shocking cause our Petco doesn't have them in the store, they do have other brands. I dont' know where you shop.
Use this store locator for Churu tubes - https://inabafo.....e-locator/
The girls will love them, and they are the best to have on hand for treats and syringing meds, supplements like the above.
Caru smoothies I also love 4 calories -https://carupetfood.com/product-category/caru-for-cats/daily-dish-smoothies-for-cats/

We watch all calories going in so 4, 6 or 25 calories yes it makes a difference on the daily intake. I give supplements twice a day, cbd twice a day and a liquid med twice a day. Calories matter to us.
Ask any other questions you have I want you to be successful and to get some liver supplementation into Petunia with less stress to you both and work on getting those values lower.

(happy to video/ share anything we have learned thru the years to make another's life easier.

Petunia hasn’t been walking good the last week. Like, at all. I wanna ask the doc at the cat vet about Solensia about it being safe with her liver values, just to be sure, and get it for her. I am hoping it will do wonders. I had my Navy Reserve drill last Sat/Sun and was gone for 10-11th a. She’s never been by herself that long since her amputation. I’m hoping she didn’t hurt herself while I was gone. I know I could get cameras, but I’m going to be honest, it’ll make me paranoid and anxious. And with the mental stress I’ve been under the last nearly 4 months, I can’t do that to myself.
I got a text earlier about bringing a sample of her poop. I just cleaned out the litterbox a few hrs earlier, but there was a MASSIVE one that I think is hers cause she poops probably every 4 days. I was able to get it out of the trash. I noticed it looked darker than usual. Maybe the new food? She seems extra sleepy today.
As for Possum - she’s hasn’t thrown up for 12 days!!! There was one minor one the other day, but I think she may have drank too much water or something. It was just a little watery, no bile. And normally she pukes twice everytime, and this time is was the once.
I'm sorry Petunia is having off days again and yes, discuss all this with the cat clinic. You will learn much info in that hour and feel better I THINK!!!
A simple fix to being creeped out on a camera is don't use them or even have them plugged in while you are home. Only use them when you are not home, and it will give you peace of mind. I know I was the same way when we first got ours 😊 not anymore I dont care. 🫂
We have always had one on our litter box, which stays on 24/7 whether home or not. IF some creepo wants to watch a cat poop and pee, I say go for it. It was essential for us because Saxton had poop issues, and we needed to monitor things closely. It is wise to have one on the litter box when you have two cats; if there is any issue, you know who needs help. Just a suggestion;)
We are glad to hear that Cerenia helped Possum! Keep a box on hand going forward to use as needed, and I hope it's not.
Let us know how Monday goes.
Love to the girls, please

P.S. you might want to tell them your not 100% sure this is Petunias poop just in case it is not and that you have Possum.

I'm with you on not having a pet cam. When we had one for Wyatt Ray I was more nervous with it and getting to SEE that he was being a nut, than I was by not seeing him in that state.
Glad that Possum is better! I agree, ask about the Solensia and see if it can make a difference in her mobility. It does for a lot of cats!
On the Solensia, when you inquire on the liver values etc., do ask about the cancer factor. I know it is newer, and the data might not be enough, but I'm hoping the cat clinic will expand on the information for you because they have been using it so often. I think you are at a point where you have to weigh the pros and cons regardless for QOL, and that might mean taking a chance. And if POSSIBLE, go back to the rehab clinic for an acupuncture session either way.
Did the girls get their meds while you were away? That could be another thing you see in Petunia. ( as you see I think about you guys)
Hugs

Thanks Jerry! I’m glad you share the same feelings about the pet cams. There would be nothing worse than me seeing something that isn’t really a big deal, but my mind makes it a big deal and I cannot make it home right away and I end up stressing until I can.
Holly, I have them their meds before I left and when I got back. If you’re talking about when I was out of town at the end of Nov/beginning of Dec, my sister and brother in law gave them their meds.
I am kinda curious if hand feeding the HT pill to Possum now if it is actually helping with her not puking the last few weeks. I know that people noticed their cats stopped throwing up so much when they were on their HT pill. I’m sure the food change has a big part of it as well. I was nervous for a few days, especially with Possum, cause she didn’t seem to be eating all her food, but I think because I was giving them different foods while I waited for their turkey cans to come in from Chewy and the pet store ran out of the turkey cans, that she just needed a few days to get used to only having turkey. She’s been eating all her food now (as is Petunia). I will definitely inquire more about Solensia.
Yes, I was referring to this time. That might be why Petunia wasn't moving, i.e., she missed her meds. So, never mind on that thought.
I'm not following what you are saying on the meds, by hand feeding them?
Remember, Possum did a course of Cerenia, the antinausea med, which also reduces inflammation.
Yes, changing the food likely helped, too - if the food was the cause.
In hyper -t, some cats puke before being treated. It can be one of many symptoms of hyper-t. So yes, they stop puking & feel better when we work on getting the t-4 back down with oral or transdermal meds. Some cats puke on the oral meds and don't tolerate it, and some do just fine on oral meds. It's per individual kitty. None of us are one size fits all;)
Best of luck tomorrow. I hope it is a productive and good appointment for Petunia and your comfort levels in the future. I hope this is the right fit; trying it is the only way to know.🤞🏻 So yay you are.
Love to the girls, please
hugs
