.05 ml will fit plenty of room; there is no issue. Oil or not, it's 0.5 ml. You have to go slow getting into the capsule. I used to do the CBD oil the same way. NO ISSUE.
Let me know how it goes tomorrow. You got this!!!
Have a good night

Awesome! I did think maybe going slow, then it would work. I won’t be getting home until 5pm, so I’ll update once I do it!

I don’t know if your #5 is the same as mine, but mine filled up two plus there was still more left in the syringe. 😔

Ohhhh did you do 0.05, not 0.5ml? It’s supposed to be 0.5ml.

YES, I did .05 BUCK. Yes, that's not going to work in one poopicon!!!
I have most size capsules here, and you would need a 0, which is enormous compared to # 5, and yes, all numbered capsules hold a certain amount; I'm so sorry, Samantha.

# 0 capsule on top

#5 bottom

Image Enlarger

The only other suggestion is to pull .5 ml from the bottle, put it into a little bowl, add tuna water, and syringe it back up, and I HOPE it is enough to cover the nasty and Petunia, not froth!!! You would have to buy canned tuna in water and use the liquid in the can. It's the only hope of masking what you have if you're not sticking in a 0  capsule. So much for them selling chicken flavored.

I don't understand what the office is thinking. We do not have dogs!!! Do they guarantee any of this by prescribing nasty for 80-plus bucks? Not once, but twice. 😩 Maybe they need to taste it!🤐 Will they at least take this back for the smaller quantity concentration?  How much smaller is it? Dosage?

I'm beyond frustrated with you, and then I gave you false hope. At least I posted proof/pictures of what I did so you could see. 🙄I feel terrible. I wanted to help make this work for you and Petunia—curse word curse word.

I’m super frustrated, too. I can’t just not do nothing cause the options I have been given didn’t work. Like there has to be something! I will try what you suggested, but I am curious … do you think the chewables can be broken down and diluted in water and then syringed? Or would that not work with chewable material?

No returns. This is from their online pharmacy. I actually paid $140. Chose 1-2 business day delivery, but didn’t get it for a week. $20. Then another $20 for processing. And then taxes. Shipping was free. I wanted this to come fast so badly. I wasn’t in a good mental state last week because of Petunia’s condition. I need to find a way for her to take it in.

You can crush/pulverize the chewable one and see how much volume that is. Isn't it large, too? You could put that into a capsule, depending on the volume. Because it is chewable, I don't have much hope in it being slurped up into a syringe, but there's no reason you can't try it and see how it goes.

I understand, and I would be getting something in her one way or another, but there is no way I would have Petunia frothing. Oh, dear, on the shipping too.  Do you think you can give a 0 capsule to Petunia? I haven't given that large of one, but I'm sure it will go down. That or use several of your #5 and give several at a time.

Or you can try the tuna water —no guarantee it will mask it enough. I don't know why it is so nasty being compounded. They really should stand by that. Our compounding pharmacy does if it does not go well they find something that will, it's that simple.

I would not even try the # 0 i put in my pill gun no way its too big. I would be afraid of choking Petunia.

Even if you bought a size 4 one size up, it takes two capsules, but it is a solution. Ideal no. You could do am and pm rather than once a day.

Try pulverizing the chewable and adding a churu tube or liquid to the syringe I don't believe it will go up but do try it and see.  MAYBE Petunia will eat the chewable ina Churu tube. I don't know. I would love you to be able to use the 140-dollar one crazy.

Okay, one simple question and I am NOT being flippant  or disrespectful., just uninformed.   Is this  supplement  the Vet suggested  one that is worth all this stress, expense, etc??  Does it have proven results?.  NOT  saying it isn't worth all this. I've kind of gotten lost in all the posts, so I'm not sure whi6 supplement it is and the results the Vet is hoping to obtain.

Inquiring minds want to know.......😉

We are adding more options, but yes, that's more money to spend. I will go back to old conv u can always try what we give Purrkins, Samantha. It lowered Purrkins values. Our vet is happy with the results. It is less $ than what they have prescribed you, and we have seen results with it. I would give as much as we give two times a day 4.5 ml or 13 drops am and pm. We give double the amount listed on the bottle per our vet. It is bacon-flavored, and I have never just squirted it into Purrkins mouth. I use a little treat tube and mix slurp back up into a syringe and then syringe it to Purrkins, he doesn't mind it, and it agrees with him; that's another idea. You can get on Chewys, Amazon or the Pet Wellbeing site. https://petwell.....er-disease. Run it by your vet and get their input, of course.

I do hope Possum is doing well, there is no vomiting on the Cerenia!
Hugs

P.S.
Sally, I will let Samantha answer you, but yes, it is needed and has been proven to help liver values. I am not sure in all cases, but it is a tool they want to try to see if they lower Petunia's liver values. IMO, they don't have enough cat patients and are prescribing for dogs, not cats. Sorry, that is my opinion, nothing more, too much money has been wasted. And Petunia has yet to get any benefit.

So I am going to make an appt with a local cat vet. I cannot accept that that there is no other solution but to let Petunia’s liver values not be treated because we have exhausted all options. When I heard that, knowing that this supplement is the only thing that can help her, it didn’t sit right with me.

I don’t know if I’m comfortable with giving her the #4 pill with the liquid supplement, especially that it will be at least two. My worries is some of the liquid will get on the outside of the pill and with the terrible taste, will her throat lock up as she is trying to swallow it? I tried going back to the original denamrian chewables by breaking it up in smaller pieces, but reminded quickly after giving it to her that the last time I gave it to her, and went to give her water, she barely could get her tongue out to drink the water. I can’t do that to her.

Holly, what is the mg of dosage of Cerania you give Purrkins? I was given a 16mg pill to cut in half. 4 days. Interesting enough, the package says “for dogs only.” Noticed that when I was at the vet when I got the med. I’m sure it’s fine, but the fact that I’ve gotten two meds that stated “for dogs only,” I see what you mean about many vets being all about dogs. This is all new territory to me, so I’m noticing it now. Bums me out. But, I will say that Possum hasn’t thrown up once! And she’s her normal self! She has been having eye discharge though in one eye the last two days. Looks red/brownish. Not sure if I should be concerned about that.

I wanted to share this painting a friend did for me in 2020. He was my first friend at my first duty station when I was active duty Navy. It is of my all-time favorite photo of the two. They were 3 years olds in that photo (2010). 🩷🩷
