Hoppy Tripawd Tuesday! Today’s hoppy hero from Minnesota has a story that will warm your heart.
His mom, Nancy writes:
“Lennie came to MN from Texas after he and his brother spent the first 2 years in a kennel. They were neglected and, we believe, abused. They were rescued by Ruff Start Rescue out of Princeton, MN.
Because Lennie was so afraid of the world and spooked by everything, he got away from his first foster family by slipping out of his collar and was missing for 20 days. He was finally found on the side of the road with broken ribs, abrasions and two broken front legs! The vets tried to save both legs but, his left leg had nerve damage and was useless to him. He found a new foster family and they saw him through his surgeries, his left leg amputation and his recovery. They were his angels! His right front leg is pinned and plated and it has healed well.
We saw Lennie and read his story and wanted to be his forever home and give him all the good things in life that he deserves. He is a sweetheart and we know he appreciates the cushy life he has with us. But, we are the lucky ones!
