Hello everyone,
Last time I spoke to everyone about Jack it was only a few days post amputation. He is now one month and 4 days past amputation and doing very well. He has started Charboplatin (sp) and will receive a second round on the 17th. He is also to receive an additional xray to see if any spreading has occurred. Right now there are no definitive mets showing up in his lungs. The radiologists are worried about one area but also said it could go either way. So far so good.. Jack's energy is amazingly high. He can walk up and down the stairs completely on his own. I do worry about him as I know how fast this can spread by reading all the posts. We will see how it all turns out. Just wanted to give an update. Good energy and thoughts sent out to everyone
Thanks,
Erin and Jack
Thanks for the great update! Glad to hear Jack is doing well. As for the worrying, just another silly human emotion that does absolutely no good. You had great timing with this post! 🙂

Erin and Jack,
One month and 4 days.....hmmm...Did we miss the one month Ampuversary? We always need to celebrate reaching a milestone and to let all those in this community know of our successes. So if you do not mind, we will be toasting Jack tonight and if you listen very carefully, you may hear the cheering for this great milestone.
Based upon my understanding of the standard regiment (treatments three week apart), it sounds like Jack had is first chemotherapy treatment around the 27th of last month. Since we did not hear anything, we will presume that it went well. I know that worrying is very hard to control, but from the sounds of it everthing is GREAT!!! The rest of the chemotherapy treatments should help assure a clean set of lungs but the end of the series. For Cherry, the first chemotherapy treatment was the toughest but then she actually recieved her first treatment just hours after the surgery.
We will be looking forward to hearing about the next amuversary and how Jack is taking the chemotherapy. I would expect that it will be even less eventful than the first.
Paws Crossed and Sending Pawsitive Thoughts,
Bob & Cherry
Congratulations on Jack's one month ampuversary!

Happy Ampuversary to you Jack. You rock too! I am so happy to hear that you are doing well and good work on the stairs, that's a tough one especially going down.
I know it is a hard thing to do sometimes, but enjoy the day, enjoy right now. The prospects can be very scary, but you will deal with that if you get there, but today (well everyday) is Jack's day. Here's to Jack!
Best wishes,
