Hugs and prayers coming from Southern Ontario, Canada!

Glad to hear that the vet couldn't read someone's writing and that Ty seems to be holding his own.

Keep up the good work, Ty!

Many hugs

I've said it before ... I would be going BAT SHIT crazy on those people .... sigh... I'll calm down now.... you must have nerves of steel right now!!! Sending you lots of healing energy and love.

Shelby Lynne; Jack Russell/Shiba Inu mix. Proud member of the April Angels of 2014.

October 15, 2000 to April 8, 2014

Our story: Broke rear leg in June 2013 - non-conclusive results for cancer so leg was plated and pinned. Enlarged spleen in September 2013 and had it removed and was diagnosed with Hemangiosarcoma and started chemotherapy. Became a Tripawd January 8th, 2014 and definitive Hemangiosarcoma diagnosis. Three major surgeries in 7 months and Shelby took them all like a champ only to lose her battle to cancer in her brain. We had 8 amazing extra months together and no regrets. #shelbystrong #loveofmylife

Ok so on a good note, they were wrong and its not as bad as she thought! That is GREAT news! I agree with Alison though that you really must have nerves of steel, I can't imagine the emotional roller coaster you are on partly from Ty being sick and partly from your vets office. I hope you guys get the consult you need and things keep looking up. Sending more hope and positive energy to both you and Ty.

I've been away for 10d and Ty was on my heart and mind all week.  I've now caught up.  Wow. Such a rollercoaster, ordeal, heartwrenching time.  This just isn't right.  My heart is so heavy for you and him.  I understand all your emotions.  Wow.  HUGS to EVERYONE!

Today is surgery, huh?  You know, I'm thankful he's gone in there for extra-special (pricey!) care.  Removing dead tissue, that vacuum thingy, strong drugs, IV fluids... things he has needed for so long!

I hope today goes VERY well.  I will be on pins and needles waiting to hear word from you about his surgery today.

BEST of BESTEST wishes!

~ Katy & Jackson

ACL tear in right hind leg 12/5/12 and scheduled ACL repair surgery 12/21/12. Pre-op xrays revealed osteosarcoma. Amputation 12/28/12.  Chemo (carboplatin) started Jan 10, 2013 and ended on April 5, for a total of 5 doses. He handled carbo like a champ!  No side effects.  We started metronomic therapy at his third chemo and have been also doing some holistic treatments.  He's a lively, playful 10 year old huskie-boarder collie and a very proud member of the Winter Warriors!  Our love. Our funny little guy!

We will hold you in our hearts and minds. looking for a good report later today.

Kathi and Murphy

Murphy is a five year old Lab/Chessie cross. He was hit by a car on 10/29/12 and became a Tripawd on 11/24/12. On 2/5/13, he had a total hip replacement on his remaining back leg. He has absolutely no idea that he has only three legs!

UPDATE: Murphy lived his life to the fullest, right up until an aggressive bone lesion took him across the Rainbow Bridge on April 9, 2015 and he gained his membership in the April Angels. Run free, my love. You deserve it!

Was with him this morning. I was leaving so they could take him back to sedate him for surgery. He was not real active (except for his tail). He just snuggled with me. When I was going to leave, he refused to get up. We decided to make like we were going out the other door instead of back to treatment hallway. He got up, we then had to take him the whole way thru waiting room. He headed right for the exit door. I felt so bad tricking himsad Hopefully tomorrow, if this stupid weather cooperates, he will actually get to go out that door. His one tech is so in love with him. I am glad there is someone there that can love on him when I am not there.                                                                         She said, "He is such a special pup." I told her," that is why I have fought so hard to help him feel better". I will post surgery results later.  This is my Granddaughter with Ty when she was 2. Not many dogs I would have let her do this with. I am pretty sure this ended with her hugging and laying on him. He loves her so!smileyUa1n+P47+SeeLTlbhAAAAAElFTkSuQmCC

Been thinking of you and your handsome boy, Ty.

Hope surgery went well....I'm sure Ty has already forgiven you for having to "trick him" back into the treatment area :)

Surgery went well. Vet says wound looks 110% better. She used that analogy and then told me there was a 10% area that still neede debridment. That was done and he has a Jackson drain. They will show me how to use it. I had told her the other day that if it was in Ty's best interest to place a drain, that I was not the squeamish type and could empty it etc.. I was afraid he should really have one and it wouldn't get put in because of him coming home. Hooray for the " VAC PAC" clapHe is scheduled to come home tomorrow! YAY!
