I keep trying to figure out what to type here but I can't think of anything... I just don't know but I do know that Ty knows that you love him very much and you are the absolute BEST pawrent a pooch could ask for!!! Sending you love, healing energy, hugs and snuggles!!!! Stay close to us! We are here for you!

Love the photo.... too cute! Shelby used to 'poop' in the bathtub when she had an upset belly so it's never been a special place for her. She can't get in it now (post-amp) but I know she would  go in there in a heartbeat when her belly is upset...

Please keep us posted!

Our story: Broke rear leg in June 2013 - non-conclusive results for cancer so leg was plated and pinned. Enlarged spleen in September 2013 and had it removed and was diagnosed with Hemangiosarcoma and started chemotherapy. Became a Tripawd January 8th, 2014 and definitive Hemangiosarcoma diagnosis. Three major surgeries in 7 months and Shelby took them all like a champ only to lose her battle to cancer in her brain. We had 8 amazing extra months together and no regrets. #shelbystrong #loveofmylife

Hi there,

Ty is in a safe place with all the best medical care he can get....and your decision to pursue that course was made from the heart but with an informed decision-making process.

Ty's tail is still wagging - he is still being more dog :)

We are all sending you, Ty and the veterinary professionals taking care of him our love, hugs and pawsitive support.

Don't forget to take care of yourself too.

I wish I felt like a good doggy momsadI went down to visit him tonight. He was just waking up from having vac PAC put on , plus some more debridement. Vet said wound looks 10 to 15% Better today. That was without vac PAC..they opened his cage and I was talking as I came around the corner. He got up and tried to leave his cage. He is tied to various things and cannot go too far, but he tried. I sat on the floor and he settled down with his head in my lap. My husband used to laugh at him because he would climb up onto the couch and scrunch up as close as possible to me. Then he would keep scrooching just to see if there was a half inch of space somewhere between us. I felt very sad for him tonight. I am starting to realize that I am doing this for me. I keep hoping he will get better. I reads something today that said to put a red frowns on calendar for a bad day and a. Green. Smiley for a good day. Well today was red:( Just do not know what to do anymore. I am to hear back on Monday from Colorado.hopefully something will grow in those cultures.the machine looked to be sucking a lot of junk from wound. It was a bit strange. He has like this special Saran Wrap over wound, and from what I could see, a small tube is inserted into wound. This is attached to a larger tube that sends the junk on its way. I hope this is our last speed ump. I am ready for a bit of smooth road.

Yes, itIS time for things to run smoothly fornyou snd Ty.

Although nyou hide it very well, you have to be anemotional basket case right now. I don't even know hownyou've stood it this far. Actualy, zi do.....because you love Ty so much nd sre determined to fight with everything humanly possible to get him better.!

It sounds likehe's pretty well sedated and not feelng any pain...yet aware enough to kmow you were there to scrunch up with!!

10% to 15% better IS an improvement! As long :-) as the vets say there's an improvement and they feel he's fairly comfortable, waiting til you get the results back Monday could helpmyou determine how to proceed.

We would all give anything to wave a magic wand and make all this go away. We can only hope that Monday brings you answers. I know it's crazy to say try not and second guess any decisins right now. If you can, remind yourself that you are doing everything possible to get Ty well...EVERYTHING The vets are using procedure s right now to help make that happen. And had it nottbeen for your commitment to Ty and determinatin to find out what's wrong and fix it he never would have had a chnace to recocer. You are giving him a chance, and thst's the best any humans can do. After that, it's not in our hands.

We are all walking with you are this journey, holding you and Ty in our hearts and our thoughts.

I have set Monday as decision daycrying If there is not real improvement by then, I need to let him go be pain free. I will miss him so! There will be a huge hole in my life without him. Vet did not check actual wound, as vac pac has to stay on. She said he is swelling up. In his legs etc. I had noticed it again in his muzzle last night. She thinks that it is the cancer actually doing this. This just just how his body is responding. I am praying either for a miracle or the strength to do what is right. SO STINKIN HARD.

Oh, I am so heartbroken to check in and read this......poor Ty has been through so much, and I am still so praying for a resolution for him. However, in the reality of this journey, we need to remember that quality of life is the ultimate goal. With that said, I do hope whatever this weekend brings, good or bad, you have the strength to deal with any situation regarding sweet Ty. The worst part of this road, is knowing what your heart and mind tell you to do. There is no right or wrong answers sometimes, you just have to follow your heart, mostly. I hope that makes some sense......trust that we all here, have had to make some difficult decisions along the way, with many of our beloved pets, and it is NEVER easy.

Continuing to keep Ty and you in my thoughts and prayers, and sending as much positive energy as I can....

Love,
Bonnie & Angel Polly

You have to follow your heart, as difficult as that road can be. We understand completely and are here for you no matter what. In the meantime, we are all thinking of you and sending lots of love and prayers for a miracle.

I knowyou keep mentioning auto-immune. For whatever it's worth colu n.....I was owned by a dog with an auto-immune "issue".....his muzze would swell as would one of his back legs...I would keep him off and on prednisone for years, as that was the onlh "band-aide" back then to treat the "symptns"

Every step of the way, yoj've made decisins in Ty's best interst and nothing has changed that heart felt commitment. Know that to be truue.

Would it be feasible to bring him home Monday while you wait for the results?

Goodness ows, if our love and support could only heal, Ty would be all better now. We're still gonna' put all that loving energy out there and send positive and healing energy t Ty!

LOVE......sending so mich love.

I would LOVE to bring him home on Monday! His wound needs to be closed before I can though. That is the big question. Can we even get it healed enough to close it? I felt so guilty all day as it was 70 and sunny and Ty should have been outside enjoying it. Instead he is stuck Iin a cage with a vacuum hooked to himsad I did not go down to see him today either. It is such a drive , that it simply does not make sense to go every day. I will go tomorrow after church. I hope he does not feel abandoned. I am racked with guilt over what may be his last couple of days spent there instead of in his home. I really thought he would sail thru all of this......guess you just never know.

My heart aches for you, it realy does.

Try to hold to this thought when that completely worthless emotion of "guilt" tries to take over........if you had not tried...if you ad not given him a chance, then you would have felt guilty! You would be beatingyourself up because you didn't try and you would be saying "But what if it worked? I'll never know because I didn't try!"

No o e had answers...no one seemed willing to search for answers like you did. You were at the mercy of the "professionals". You insisted they keep looking and fnally you do jave answers.....and you do have a solution that just may work!!

The whole community is pulling sooooooo hard for you and Ty! So darn hard!

And remeber, he's probably sedated enough that he thinks he is outside laying around in the sun!!

Hugging you over here!!

My heart breaks for you and Ty. You've done everything possible for him, he's just such a sick pup. I too am praying for this to work for you, if nothing else so you can bring him home and cuddle with him for alittle while longer. He loves you so. I think you'll know what's best for him when you see his eyes tomorrow. If his eyes say "enough mama" then you'll feel it. At least that's my 2 cents anyway. No one can tell you what's best except you. You know your baby better than anyone else.

Me too!! Vet was so concerned yesterday because she thought his temp had spiked. Today she realized that someone's 4 looked like a 1. So his temp was 101 all day, not 104smiley That was one of the reasons that she was so discouraged. Sooooo, if all goes well overnight, we will possibly close tomorrow and bring him home on Tuesday. What will happen after that, we will take it one day at a time. His surgery will not be until tomorrow afternoon.
