big-grinbig-grinbig-grinbig-grinWell he has Cancer obviously, or I wouldn't be on here, but the Biopsy came back with no Cancer! New antibiotic and Prednisone. It came back inflammation. They are calling it a cellulitis. If he is not showing improvement by the end of the week, they will be doing surgery. Thank you for all of your thoughts, prayers and support. It is very much appreciated. I am so relieved right now, I cannot even express it. Even surgery is better than what I thought I would be posting. And Linda, I am with you on the Granddaughter thing, I have 2 and 1 on the way

TY GUY, Best Black Lab ever! Diagnosed  and had amp in January, 2014. Kicked MRSA's butt. Earned his angel wings on April 16, 2014. Run Free my boy and don't forget a shoe. SOOOOOO happy to read this before I logged off for a bit to drive home from work! YAY~!!!!! You are such a great fur-baby mom. I know how hard this has been on you.... trust me .... I would have been the same way - and you are a fighter, just like Ty! Let's get him feeling better so he can get out and fully enjoy the tripawd life!

Best news today!

Hugs,

Alison and Shelby

Shelby Lynne; Jack Russell/Shiba Inu mix. Proud member of the April Angels of 2014.

October 15, 2000 to April 8, 2014

Our story: Broke rear leg in June 2013 - non-conclusive results for cancer so leg was plated and pinned. Enlarged spleen in September 2013 and had it removed and was diagnosed with Hemangiosarcoma and started chemotherapy. Became a Tripawd January 8th, 2014 and definitive Hemangiosarcoma diagnosis. Three major surgeries in 7 months and Shelby took them all like a champ only to lose her battle to cancer in her brain. We had 8 amazing extra months together and no regrets. #shelbystrong #loveofmylife

YOU GO, TY!!!! What great news . We are Sooo happy for you. Now to get this thing under control and back to just being Ty.

Kathi and Murphy

Murphy is a five year old Lab/Chessie cross. He was hit by a car on 10/29/12 and became a Tripawd on 11/24/12. On 2/5/13, he had a total hip replacement on his remaining back leg. He has absolutely no idea that he has only three legs!

UPDATE: Murphy lived his life to the fullest, right up until an aggressive bone lesion took him across the Rainbow Bridge on April 9, 2015 and he gained his membership in the April Angels. Run free, my love. You deserve it!

I am a bit upset that the call came too late tonight for me to go pick up meds. I had the prednisone from before. He seems so much worse tonight. Having trouble standing up. I will get his antibiotics first thing tomorrow. Still not sure why they could not have called me in time to get what I needed. My local vet is 15 minutes away and the specialist is an hour and 15 min. Away. I just have them call meds int local vet. Now I am 2nd guessing my laziness. I hope he will be ok till morning. He is being put on Clavamox.

No worries! Ty will be fine til you get the meds in him! If you are realy cncerned, you coild takehim to an ER vet and seeifm je would get hi started on the Pred. and Clavamox. I "think", but not sure, they could give him a steroid injection to jump start himk
In fact, maybeyou could call and seeifmit's possible to pick up the meds from them. Just throwing it out there.

Yeah, for pete's sake, the vet could jave found three minutes of time this afternoon to let you know what they foun and have you ccome by and pick up the meds!

Hang in there.....yet again!

Oh my dog, DANCING ON THE TABLE IN HAPPINESS over here!  Soooo happy for you and Ty!!!!!!

I think the vet was lazy / slow (whatever you want to call it) about calling you because he / she wasn't concerned.  Isn't that a good thing?

I love Sally's idea about calling the ER vet and getting the drugs from them tonight - even if it's just a day's worth.  I'm not sure where you live but somehow I got the impression it was not that close to an ER vet.  Maybe I'm wrong on that.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE update us frequently on Ty's status.  I think about him all day every day and I check this site constantly for updates on him.

CONGRATULATIONS on this victory, it's SUCH GOOD NEWS!

Paw love,

Claudia and Angel Jersey Girl
