Thanks for the feedback! Weather was warm this morning, now it looks like it may or may not rain. We'll be keeping an eye on it around here.

Are any "regular members" continuing or having difficulties with using the Topics With Unread Posts List? I must being doing something wrong, but I can't put my finger on It. I know I haven't been spending as much time on the forums as I should but I do find it harder to keep up then in the past. Still raining here.

Can you please explain? What issues are you having? Are you seeing the Recent Topics with Unread Posts list on the main Forums page? We removed the Unread Count icon so there is no longer a Page View of unread topics available.

Are you seeing the Recent Topics with Unread Posts list on the main Forums page? Yes, I am. I'm currently logged on two separate computers (one with Internet Explore, cookies off/one with Firefox, cookies on). Both show "Most Recent Topics With Unread Posts".
In the past I would see a long list of recent topics on the main page. Now if I navigate away or reply and return to main page most of the topics have disappeared. Sorry for being so vague.
Hmmm... If no cookie is set, your post count will not be tracked. Multiple simultaneous log-ins may also confuse the system. We recommend clearing your cache(s), logging out from both computers. Allowing some time for posts to accumulate, and logging in once (with cookies enabled) to determine if there is an issue.
But too clarify, the unread post list is no longer being "padded" with viewed posts to meet the display limit, so you will not always see 20 topics in the list.

At the risk of jinxing matters, we're officially marking this tech support topic as Resolved!

Okay, who jinxed it??? It stopped working right for me too!
Same here. I log in and see oodles of new posts and then I click into a topic to respond and when I go back to the forum's main page there are about 1/2 missing.

You need your Focus Factor Cometdog! ........and a hearing aid!
It's because "the the unread post list is no longer being "padded" with viewed posts to meet the display limit, so you will not always see 20 topics in the list".
Once the admin. told me this it made sense.

Grrrrr.
OK, stand down. Admin's gonna try something. But why go back? He wonders if problems persist when using the forum navigation to get around here, and if buttmonkey's account has issues with the unread list too. Anyway, stay tuned for drastic measures.

Everything seems fine!
Hopefully it is. We've just tweaked some code to revert how the Unread topics list displays. That was the only related change made during the last maintenacne upgrade. Pay close attention to those little red "flags" now that the list is once again being padded with posts you may have seen.
We recommend that anyone who was continuing to experience issues please log out, clear your cache (yes, again), relaunch your browser and give this fix some time to see if it, well... fixed it. Thank you for your patience.
