I have a really hard time navigating this website.  I've posted a blog and written about my guy and his travails but find it hard to find other blogs.  Or how do I find other blogs about big dogs who have dealt with amputation? Any help on how to navigate and get around would really help.  Do others see my blog? First time I blogged I had a few comments but since then I haven't.  Maybe when I need help I should post on this discussion forum rather than in my blog.  Is there a home page for the blogs that you can go to and see everyone's blogs? I'm actually pretty good with computers, tech stuff and websites but not so good with this one.  Really appreciate this website and the info I've found here so I don't mean to complain but more am looking for help. Thanks!

Hi Pfritz's Mom! Don't worry we can help, we know you're not complaining and appreciate your wanting to learn more.

First off, I put your post here in Technical Support, hope you don't mind but it's a more appropriate place for these kinds of website related questions.

Now, I'll try to help:

I've posted a blog and written about my guy and his travails but find it hard to find other blogs. Or how do I find other blogs about big dogs who have dealt with amputation?

You have several options to access other blogs. First, log in. From wherever you are you should be able to look up at the black bar across the top of your page. See where it says "Tripawds" in white letters on the far left corner? Hover over it with your mouse, you'll see a directory of every section of this community. I hope this image helps.

Another way to access different community areas whether you're logged in or not.

Next questions:

Do others see my blog? First time I blogged I had a few comments but since then I haven't.  Maybe when I need help I should post on this discussion forum rather than in my blog.  Is there a home page for the blogs that you can go to and see everyone's blogs?

We were seeing your blog but apparently you flipped the switch in your blog dashboard that hides it from the blog feed found in the Tripawds Blogs Directory. We changed it back for you and now your blog will appear in the feed.

When you get to the directory, scroll down past Tripawds Featured Blogs and you'll see all of the member blogs and also be able to search by keyword or blog name.

And yes, do come here when you have specific questions, you'll find help a lot faster in the Forums.

One more thing: we saw you in the Chat room earlier but apparently you didn't realize you were there?

When you click on the link to "Chat" be sure scroll down to the box that says "loading chat" and wait. In a few seconds you will be in the chat room and able to talk to others.

Any other questions be sure to ask, that's why we're here.

Thanks this helps so much.  I never knew about hovering over the tripawds thing.  I did think I was going to the chat area but never saw anywhere to chat.  I guess I had to scroll down more.  And I didn't know I disabled my blog from being seen.  Not helpful when asking for help! Thanks so much. Debra

DEBRA! Just want you to know you are way ahead of the curve! YOU KNOW OW TO BLOG! I've been here seven mnths now and still dn't know how to do that! And, if you have a tablet your screen will look very different from pople whohave a regular computer. For instance, that example Jerry posted above doesn't show up that way on a tablet.

I just feel bady that you've been posting a blog and we weren't ale to respond and you were reaching out for help!

I will tell you that the blogs turn over very fast sometimes on the Discussin Forum page that says Recent Blog Posts. And what a lot of people do is post a blogAND under a "thread" in the Forum titles. I'm probavly using the wrong terminology......just another example that you're waaaaay ahead of the "curve"!

Look forward to hearng about Pfritz! I have a Bull Mastiff who's somewhat of a chunk of a dog! She had a rear leg amp over seven months ago and still plowing forward (kocking on wood over here)! Best decision ever! Best community ever! You are never on this mourney by yourself!

Hugs tonyou and Pfitz!

Sally and Happy Hannah

Happy Hannah had a glorious additional bonus time of over one yr & two months after amp for osteo! She made me laugh everyday! Joined April's Angels after send off meal of steak, ice cream, M&Ms & deer poop!
