Awww what a cutie pie! Nova is darling!
Thank you for sharing these Sally! Sorry I was away all day but I will be back in the AM with some feedback on adding images and your questions about chemo that I might be able to help answer.
Meanwhile just know that I'm sending you tons of pawsitivity for an easy surgery tomorrow and recovery!
Thank You please check out one of my last posts on here for Nova's update her surgery is Friday the vet kept saying Wednesday but my mom said no it's always been Friday maybe she ment for the tests. We got her tests back that fat lump we thought was fat on the top of her backside is in fact cancer according to my mom who tends to get things wrong and all this is confusing for her. I think they are removing that as well on Friday. And she will be followed up by chemo but her uterus area and lung are cancer free from what I'm hearing my stepdad doesnt say much and moms relaying messages isn't always the greatest. They did see a small deposit in the lungs which is Not cancer. So I'm thankful that her body is clear but I've been questioning that lump on her butt like around since Xmas even the vet said it was fat it was soft and that's what they originally took her in for was that then spotted the other so hopefully she can get this removed and heal ugh
Oohhh gotcha, OK so Friday is the big day? That's good, it gives you time to prepare your home and get your pawsitivity ready too 🙂
Where is the surgery being done? Sounds like she's in good hands and the vets are covering all their bases to get her 100% healthy again.
We have members in London, Ontario, are you anywhere near there?
The surgery is being done at Mississauga Oakville Vet Hospital and we are about an hr or so from London, ON. The book came in I'll be giving my mom the book on Saturday when I see her and we figure Nova will be there at least till Monday. So far Nova is acting like nothings wrong jumping and active and carrying on like herself ugh
Ohhh that's awesome! Great hospital. We've been to Oakville, it's such a nice town.
We hope you find the book helpful!
Someday you should have a Tripawds get-together with Natasha, Shultz, and Wilhelmina:

Happy Hannah had a glorious additional bonus time of over one yr & two months after amp for osteo! She made me laugh everyday! Joined April's Angels after send off meal of steak, ice cream, M&Ms & deer poop!
NOVA UPDATE: Nova did great through the surgery and recovery unit. She might be able to come home tomorrow morning. Doug talked to the nurse and Nova can still go on her planned annual trip to Daytona in March she's able to get her bloodwork down there and they will send it to her vet. My mom mentioned getting her a sling to help her and mom taught Nova if she needs help with stairs to use her inside voice and mom goes and supports her as Nova walks up the stairs she only does this with one set cause she remembers tripping in the past. Big dogs are not the most graceful lol. Mom mentioned Chemo I think she's on it every 2 months I think but she's so far doing good only mere hours after surgery
YAAAAAY. FOR NOVA!!! Been looking forward to this update, and it's a good one!! Actually a GREAT one!!
I love how your Mom has taught her to use her "inside voice" when she needs help. Smart girl!
When you go to pick her up, just walk in with a huge smile on your face, a confident energy and tell her ahe's going home!!! Don't even bother drawing attention to her incision, she's not gonna be looking at it, she's gonna be looking at you!!!
Now get a good night's sleep. Nova's resting comfortably and is on some good drugs.
Update us when she gets home and stay connected. We'll help you navigate through recovery.
Hugs

She's been using her inside voice since she was a pup so now whenever she needs help she gives a little yelp Doug thinks she always wants out. Mom laughs and. Says no lol
Nova UPDATE: Nova is now home and the clinic said she wasn't walking then she sees mom and Doug and was trying to walk. One of Doug's good friends and one of Nova's fave Hoomans came over to see her and him and Doug had her outside for a pee carrying her up and down the stairs and mom couldn't talk long but I'll get more updates later. Nova also had some food mom was happy she was eating. And mom said they have their pillows and sleeping bags in the living room to sleep with Nova. She's heavy doped up but we're happy she's home. I'll update more when I hear more.
Eating some already??? Great news! Already a good pee?? Great news!!
Nova is being so well cared for by her "recovery team". Excrlkent job. You're doing all the "right" things to help her in her recovery....sloooowly and at her own pace.
It may take her several more days to get her "sea legs". No worries along those lines.
Hugs
