Today is my Buster's Birthday!!
Just wanted to share this occasion with you. I am pretty sure he is about 11 years young! We are asking for some prayers and postive energy since we go Wednesday for his follow up chest x-rays. Always being a worried mom, I am nervous about the visit. Last time, the Dr forwarned me about the possibilties of the outcome. Also, it is very stressful since the floors are slippery and he did slip on the way out. We hate to go but it must be done... Keep us in your thoughts!!
Thank you,
Kim&Buster

Hoppy Hoppy Birthday my friend! What a huge milestone. You have come SO far and we are truly proud of you for being such a brave and incredible Tripawd. All of us send our love and wishes to you from the bottom of our hearts.
We send our good thoughts and prayers for a good vet visit this week. Keep us posted OK? And watch those floors (oh why are vets offices are so dang slippery!).
And Dexter, same goes for you too, many many hoppy birthday wishes to another brave Tripawd hero! May there be many, many more.
Much love

Happy Birthday Buster!!!!!
Kim, there is a product called Firm Grip that is a natural rosin spray that you can use on Buster's feet to help him on slick floors. We kept a can in the kennel to spray on the pads of greyhounds we took into the grandstands where they had slick tile floors. If you can't find that, try a rosin bag that bowler's use to help their grip on the bowling ball! Also, make sure nails are well trimmed so his pads completely come in contact with the floor. So many greyhounds have phobias of slick floors (having never seen them!), there are entire threads devoted to the tricks! Hope that will help Buster!

Happy Belated Birthday to you too, Dexter!!
We really appreciate the birthday wishes!
Janie and Calamity that is wonderful advice!! It will help my phobia as well as Buster's of slip sliding away at the vet! It's always a stressful, sweat baller each time we are there...
ps ... i also have to trim his fur between his paws , he is furry husky!
thank you,

Kim,
I researched this a bit more & thought about the sticky stuff that comes in a jar that bowler's use, it's called Sure Grip or something like that. You could walk in any local bowling ally and buy a jar for a couple of bucks. It would fit in your handbag & You only apply a very small amount before entering the vet's office. How convenient is that?!?
I'm off to get a jar myself!

Happy Belated Birthday Buster!
Another thought when you experience slippery floors is booties with gripper soles. I had several folks suggest mutlucks, and you can purchase them as singles!
