It is a year today that I farewelled Peda ... I cannot believe it has been a whole year.
It has been an interesting time leading up to this first anniversary - I had to move, a couple of months ago, from the house I lived in for 12 years; this was the house Peda lived her whole life in. While it was good to move on from the house, it was gut-wrenching to say goodbye to the home I had with Peda. Even though I have missed Peda terribly at times over the last year, I could go and sit outside in the garden and spend time with her memories in that space. It wasn't the same to sit there without her, but it was something that connected me to her nevertheless.
But today I sit and hang on to the memories of all the good times - and all the lessons learned and the love gained. So many of you know of the special power these angel tripawds have over our hearts ... even after a year I don't know that I can fully explain all the things I learned from having shared my life with Peda and her journey.
To all of you who have lost your tripawd angels in recent times, I am so sad for your loss.
Sally - I was gutted to read that Happy Hannah has crossed the rainbow bridge. I am sorry I did not see the news sooner - I have been scarce around the place in the last few months. You have both been such an amazing positive energy for the tripawds community and I'm glad to see you are still such a big part of the family.
And I take this anniversary to say thank you to all of the tripawds community, and particularly its founders - Rene and Jim, for keeping such an important community going.

05/04/2006 - Bosch, Sassy's pal, earned his wings 03/29/19 fought cancer for 4 months.

Oh Kirsty, a year just goes by so fast, as I'm sure those 12 years you spent in that house did too. I can imagine how bittersweet it was to move on from a place that contained the memories of your life with Peda. Always remember though, the good times will forever remain in your heart, for all time.
Lots of love and appreciation coming your way today and always. You and Peda are a part of this community, sharing inspawration to others and showing them that life on 3 legs can be great. Thank you so much for that.

Kristy.. Many of us here know how fast that year goes by... It was my guys on May 15th.... and it is a hard year.. and year after too.. we still have our moments... and I have now decided that I am going to get my tattoo to honor my Frank'n'farter.. as well as all those pets that I have had in the past and in the future... I will post it when it is done...
But.. one crazy little thing that makes me smile every day.. is just imagining the shenan-a-kins that is going on at the bridge with all our crazy Tripawds up there! I can picture in my head the jumping, rolling, tongue lolling playing that is going on... and I am sure they are sharing stores of us down here... it just makes me chuckle. And gives me some comfort knowing that they are all there waiting for us. I hope I don't meet them soon, if you know what I mean, but when my time comes... I could not think of a better welcoming committee!!!

Franklin, he was the Happiest Dog on Three Legs! Diagnosed 09/26/2012 with Osteosarcoma, amputated 12/4/2012. Had a wonderful 5 1/2 months painfree until he ran for the Bridge on 5/15/2013. Always in my heart, and always a guardian angel of my pack... You can follow his Tripawd Adventures, before and after, in my blog, Frank'n'Farter!
For anyone keeping score, it's been five years and nine months since the day we set Jerry free from his broken body.

TY GUY, Best Black Lab ever! Diagnosed and had amp in January, 2014. Kicked MRSA's butt. Earned his angel wings on April 16, 2014. Run Free my boy and don't forget a shoe. Ty is a proud member of the " April Angels". Ty sent us Daryl, a Tripawd rescue in Sept. of 2016. Daryl is 5 +or -. We are also Pawrents to Chandler, a Border Collie mix who is 15 and 1/2, Lucy, a Corgi who is 7, 2 minis, 2 horses, and a feisty cat named Zoe. Zoe had a non skeletal Osteosarcoma removed in July 2015. No Chemo, she was at least 16. She is going strong although she is now completely blind. She is now close to 20 and her hobbies are eating and sleeping in front of her personal heater.
Thank you Jerry for all you have done for this community. Without you we would all be lost. Thanks to you, your mom & dad for opening this community & keeping it going.

Cody is our 7 year old Australian Heeler mix boy. Diagnosed on 2/20/14 and became a tripawd 2/21/14! We chose a homeopathic approach and he is being treated by Dr. Loops our of NC.
