That's beautiful Paula!!! WOW... where is this located on your body? Is that your leg?

Our story: Broke rear leg in June 2013 - non-conclusive results for cancer so leg was plated and pinned. Enlarged spleen in September 2013 and had it removed and was diagnosed with Hemangiosarcoma and started chemotherapy. Became a Tripawd January 8th, 2014 and definitive Hemangiosarcoma diagnosis. Three major surgeries in 7 months and Shelby took them all like a champ only to lose her battle to cancer in her brain. We had 8 amazing extra months together and no regrets. #shelbystrong #loveofmylife

That's really pretty Paula! I really like how it flows with no beginning and no end. It "connects" Nitro's heart with you eternally without interruption. Nicely thought out, nicely designed.

Paula and Marla, very nice tattoos. I'm definitely going to get a doggie tattoo somewhere. It's almost as hard to decide on the body part as it is the tattoo. It's not for everyone but I love mine because I will always love horses and dogs so I think it's cool to have them permanently on me.

I must give credit for my tattoo to Michelle - she found the design, and I ran with it....

I have my appointment on feb 3 for the paw print of the leg we amputated. So its gonna be the exact replica of the print that I took of the left hind leg, I did that print once the leg was removed from Novak. Its really meaningfull to me to have it. But, Im struggling where to put it on my body, the artist suggested on my foot so we can "walk" together, but I don't like tattoos on feet. I thought about putting it on my side rib cage, ankle outside or inside, but thats about it, don't where it belongs. Any suggestion that I didnt thought about? I would like it if we could see it with clothing on, but thats not a must.

So this is an actual replica of his paw? Not just a "random" sketch? That really does make it extra meaningful for you.

This is so exciting! Can't wait to see the finished creation!

Hmmm.....I like the "concept" of walking together. That would make anywhere on the leg, ankle or foot seem to be a good spot.

Maybe somewhere on your inner wrist? You would be sort of be "holding" his paw...maybe??

Will be interesting to see other suggestions.

Hugs!

PS..Nice highlight post on you and Novak!

YES it is his actual paw print! I did it myself. I took Novak's foot and put some ink on it and then applied it to a piece of paper. And the gorry part was, that I did that after his leg was remove! Im laughing a bit thinking about how it sounds, its like I was playing with it or something...but the leg was in the freezer for about a month before I manage to remember to dispose of it(cremation). Anyway, its too big for a wrist and my 2 forearm are already taken. It wont be a "clean" tattoo because it is from an ink to a paper drawing, but that ok, its what I want. My favorite one is the bottom one and the second one from the top to the right.

Wow what a neat idea. I like the bottom one too. The artist can tell you which will work best over time.

IMO, tattoos look best in places that don't sag as we age. Harder places, like shoulders and ankles have worked well on me. I can still tell what they are, many many years later! 😉

Either of the two you like best would be perfect!

I don't know how big the sheet is you have the pawprints on, but it might be worth framing as a special keepsake.

Im thinking more and more about putting it on my left ankle, cause its his left paw. Maybe just a bit higher than the ankle. Now, inside or outside?
