Hopefully it gets here this week.

Baxter leaves his mark on literally every other mailbox (at least). I truly believe he's trying to cover up the mark of every other dog in the neighborhood with his own.

My parents seem to be doing OK after losing Ripple. I know it hit my dad hard. They still have Tigger, although he's showing his age. He limps a lot, which gives me bad flashbacks (I know everyone here can relate to that). They've been told it's just arthritis due to old age. They've said Tigger will be the last one for them. If I ever have to go back into the office, it wouldn't surprise me if they "borrow" Baxter during the day. I'd kind of like to see them adopt a senior dog when the time comes. But that's up to them.

That's so funny about Baxter and other dogs who mark. Our Wyatt and Jerry never marked a ton, I wonder why?

I'm glad your parents are doing OK. Hope they have Tigger on something for the arthritis pain?

Tonight's fun walk adventure was some asshole who dropped a firecracker out his car window onto the sidewalk. We were about 15 feet away, so it only startled Baxter. But it was clearly intentional toward us. A shame the jerk didn't stick around or I would have tested out my bear spray.

Oh David!  That is so sick, sick sick!!!   Just so glad you two are alright.  So it didn't  traumatize  Baxter to the point he just shut down??   You have a very special  boy in Mr Baxter!   Most dogs panic when hearing  fireworks on the 4th and this was basically  right next to him.  Yep, a very special boy!!  I also think that he feels very comfortable and confident  having you as his hooman😎

Maybe some of the people in the area have one of those "Ring cameras " and you could at least identify  the car and Cops could take it from there,

And yeah, Bear spray would have been a very appropriate  response!!

Unbelievable... I am glad neither of you got hurt!! Makes me wonder if they are related to the piece of poopicon that owns the 2 dogs that get loose...  I am so sorry, people are just batshit crazy these days...

AGGG! I'm really sorry. I'm glad you guys are OK.

All in favor of a personal fireworks ban, say "Aye!"

Baxter says Aye!

He actually didn't seem to mind the sound too much, as long as he was inside. He wanted no part of going outside when they were going off. And he handled the firecracker pretty well. It spooked him, but not too bad.

Happy to report the most adventurous thing on our walk tonight was Baxter seeing not one - but two - bunnies in a yard. They both got away safely.

Uneventful has become one of my favorite words anymore, lol... and it's been a commodity too, hahah! I agree, a nice Baxter photo would be really nice 🙂  Baxter and Bo are similar in that sense... the fireworks pretty much do not phase him but he would rather wait until they are over to go out. He growled at them when he first heard them, but we ignored it all and he finally realized it was just loud noises and carried on without much bother.

I'm with you on that Jackie. Uneventful. Boring. Same ol same ol. I love those words more than ever!

That's pretty cool that Bo isn't phased by the noises. Lucky dawg!
