Three-legged heroes are something truly special, just like their humans. Recently we received a harness for the Tripawds Angel Exchange from a pack whose leader, Beau, just got his wings. We know you’ll agree that it was a huge and loving gesture for them to make during their time of grief. Beau’s mom wrote to us to share a few words about him, which is today’s bittersweet, beautiful Tripawd Tuesday feature.
“Beau was the best dog ever. He was a golden retriever and his main goal in life was to please us. He never needed training, was always happy and can never be replaced.
He had cancer at 11 and we had to amputate. When he got to the point where he stopped eating and could go more than 10 steps without being exhausted we decided it was the end of the road. Despite everything the tail never stopped wagging.”
