Dixie, you aren't that far from me! We are near the 60 and 101 in Mesa. If nothing else, maybe we can get together for a play date? Let me know.
Jerry -
Probably somewhere in Phoenix or Mesa would be good. Or the Scottsdale greenbelt is nice – like Eldorado or Vista del Camino Parks.
Adam and I are
getting married next Saturday (3/27), going to be out of town the following
Monday – Wednesday, so we might not be able to join in the fun.
Chuy,
maybe you can coordinate something?
thanks!

Married? Wow cool, congratulations!
Well, considering that we'll be pulling the rig, we'll need to make it somewhere that's easy to get to. And from what I remember about Phoenix traffic, that isn't easy!
Any thoughts Chuy?
We want to make sure that Tasha can be there too, and she's way out in Bouze (sp?) way west of Phx.

Hi all! Sorry it's been so long. We've been really busy the last couple of weeks.
Tasha, you live about 2 hrs. from Phx. Would it be a problem for all of us to meet somewhere in Scottsdale? I know that there are some pretty nice dog parks in that area.
Jerry, you can always park the rig at my house and we can take our SUV to Scottsdale from here. We are right off US 60 and Stapley Dr., easy on, easy off!
Congratulations on your wedding Dixiedog! Let us know what parks are in your area. If Tasha can't do Scottsdale and Jerry will park the rig here, I can always try to find a place somewhere on the west side in Glendale or Peoria, maybe even Buckeye? That way we'll all be driving about an hour to get together.
Hope to hear from you all soon!

Chuy that's a mighty tempting offer, thanks! What's your street access/driveway like? We're not that big but we are 40' long total (our RV is 27' from end to end). We can't park on the street because we need our slide out at night for Wild Boy Wyatt Ray's cage…err, I mean crate. If we won't fit there we can look at places in the area. I like the easy on-easy off part!

I'm down with Scottsdale, and have no problem driving down there (we're off the 101 & 51 so we can get anywhere pretty quickly). The dog park off McDonald & Hayden is big and really nice, but it can get super packed and doesn't have a ton of shade. If we want a fenced-in area, there are softball fields next to the dog park.
A north Phoenix option — There is a large basin park (Coyote Basin Park) by my house on Beardsley & Cave Creek Roads off the 101N. There's a Costco next door you can park the RV at. Here's a map: http://bit.ly/8XFZj1
There are a few RV parks near our house. These look nice: http://www.dese…..dgerv.com/ or http://www.camp…..ndsrvpark/
Whatever you want to do Chuy & Jerry, and is convenient for you both, especially since we might not be able to join you.

Hmmmm…..North Phoenix looks interesting. I used to live off 7th & Bell a zillion years ago, I know where that is (if I can recognize it now). I also have a good friend who just moved to Surprise and it would be fun to be able to see her too.
Emily, what days would work for you in the next couple of weeks? I know you have a lot going on!
We plan on leaving CA this Sunday and plan on spending about 2 weeks in AZ. Can anyone do a weekday pawty?

Jerry, You may want to do the RV park up by Dixie's. It will be easier for you to get to Surprise from there too. (Straight shot west on the 101) I don't think the rig will fit in our driveway with the option to slide out. We didn't think of that.
This sounds good to me! We are available any day, just let us know when. The 27th is next Sat. and then maybe Tasha can join us too, just a suggestion.

Ok, since Dixie can't make it that day, how about
Saturday April 3rd
Does that work for everypawdy?
Also, it doesn't appear that Coyote Basin is an off-leash dog park. Dixie do you know if we can let the dogs run around or would they have to be on leash?
I found this listing of official dog parks. Any thoughts about these locations?

April 3rd works for us, I'll put it on the calendar. I think the Ech Mountain would be a good place as it is on the north side of Phx.
Looking forward to meeting everyone!

April 3 at Echo Mtn dog park sounds good! Any idea on times? Maybe earlier in the morning (there isn't any shade there)/possibly less crowded?
Dixie's excited!

How early is early? Chuy is crabby until his first biscuit in the morning. I'm sure that we can be there by 9, but I have to take care of the rest of the zoo (7 cats, 2 more dogs) before I can leave for anywhere.
