Noel seems to be getting redder outside the incision site. The vet said that seems  normal (over the phone) especially because she is eating well.  But I noticed that the swelling is now on her chest near her opposite leg.  It looks like fatty flaps or something? but its obviously swelling/fluid.  She is pretty active and has to go down 3 steps to get to the yard, which the vet said is ok.  Do you think its just  from overdoing it? or should i call the vet back tomorrow and be worried?

Welcome to the Forums, we're glad you posted. Sorry for the delay in approving your first post, your next ones won't need approval.

By now you've probably talked to the vet. I'm going to guess that it's a seroma (click on the link you see for more info). Chances are that's what it is but it can't hurt to take a pic and show your vet. Many dogs get them, more front leg Tripawds than rear, but they're usually not serious and at worst need to be drained in a simple 1 minute procedure in the vet's office. Oftentimes they dissipate and the fluid reabsorbs in the body.

Let us know what your vet says. Don't panic (easier said than done I know!).

Please call your vet and check. Is it leaking anything? I agree, take a picture and email it , if they wont see you. how is her temp? Is there a smell to it? Probably a seroma , but would be nice to rule out an infection brewing in there. Lori and Angel-dog TY
