Would anyone be opposed to Saturday the 25th instead? My husband just reminded me that we are going to a Seahawks game on Sunday the 26th! I also have some weekdays off here and there and I could do other weekends but it would be after 5pm until I could make it to Bothell.
Pam
I'll just be getting back into town from 5 days away, and if nobody holds what my house may look like against me, and we can do it in the early afternoon, then Saturday the 25th is perfect. Would 1 p.m. ish work for anyone?
I love the hubs, I'm just not confident in his housekeeping skills. 🙂

I would like to come too. I don't know it Sammy will be ready yet his surgery is Monday. Pam I would love to meet you because I am hoping to schedule Sammy's chemo at your clinic.
JD's mom I think our boys would hit it off well. Sammy is an extrovert also like you said. He did Agility training in Maple Valley and was the class clown. Because they are both big boys I think that might just be a great thing!
I am sorry to read that Jack passed. I didn't see if there was a thread but I would love to meet Laura and all of the tri-pawd parents around here.
I work in Bellevue so I know where Marymoor is and think that would be fine for us too, if Sammy is ready.

I couldn't begin to say how special Sammy is to us. Living and laughing with and loving this wonderful boy is priceless.
I unfortunately work every other Saturday and as far as I can tell I work on Saturday the 25th. But please, if it works for the group go ahead and have our first 'Puget Sound Sniff-Fest' and JD and I can join in on the second.
Sammy's Mom, JD is technically a girl dog, but surgically neutered. She has been mistaken for a boy dog her whole life. Her size and the combo of a Lab/Rottie head can make her look quite male. I have tried to dress her in feminine collars since puppyhood but Sammy you are by far not the first to see the boy in her. Dr. Pam even put in pink stitches and a pink post surgical wrap to enhance her femininity!
We both look forward to meeting everyone, whenever we can manage to make it work.

That is even better! I am sorry about the confusion but glad nevertheless because I think he would get along with a girl much better than a boy. He is friendly to everyone but if a boy growls at him he gets upset and growls back non-stop. If a girl growls at him he sits down and looks at me like "what did I do?"
I am sorry to not being able to meet you this time but look forward to getting a chance to meet you both in the future.

How is it looking everyone, are you still interested in a meet? I think Sammy would love to meet some others that hop like him! Are we still on?

I could still do the 25th of September if anyone is interested. I also have plans to take Julian to Marymoor Park on Sunday October 3rd for Slobberfest ( a party for Bulldogs and other drooly dogs) so we could also meet there sometime in the afternoon. The off-leash dog area is right next to the picnic area where the party will be so that should be easy to find.

Slobberfest....LOVE it!
We'll put this in the Facebook page and see if we can get other pawrents there too.

Big day at the tripawd meet and greet. Lincoln was a bit standoffish, for some reason. Maybe he didn't relish the thought that being a tripawd doesn't make him all that special after all....jealous, perhaps. He did love JD's Mom though, as you can see. Note JD's Mom's shirt!! Next is Julian and James (James wasn't afraid at all). Third picture is Sammy and his Mom. Then James in his Monkey sweater with his Mom.
Dr. Pam's dog, Julian, proved himself to be quite a poser, as you can see, and also very photogenic. Sammy, too, posed for some very nice shots. And James got his picture taken too, although I'm not sure he knew it.
Everyone went home with some Three Legged Red, and we got one or two group shots at the end. This was a little tough, though, as it turns out, coordinating all of those people can be difficult. The dogs were fine, just so you all know.
Hopefully we'll get to see everyone in November when the King of all Tripawds and his family will be in town. Thank you, Dr. Pam, for being the organizer. We had such a nice time, and enjoyed meeting everyone so much!!

Rhonda,
The photos are great! You are a pro! And thanks for the bottle of 'three legged red' that was very thoughtful of you. We managed to squeeze a rainless morning for the Puget Sound 'Meet n Greet n Sniff' but considering Julian we might need to add 'Drool' to the name of the event.
It was so nice to make the connection of 'pawrent' and pup, kinda funny that we needed to introduce ourselves by name and not just "Sammy's Mom", Lincoln's Mom" etc. Yes we do have human names! James' Mom brought along some 4 legged poodle relatives, and as you can see in the photos, Dr. Pam's Julian is a giant bundle of puppy love. Sorry that Captain Jack's Mom could not make it, I was looking forward to meeting her as well.
Looking forward to the next event...Auburn for the Cancer Walk? Wyatt Dawg are you practicing your pronunciation of Puyallup??Auburn is easier!!! Sure hope to see you there.
Thanks everyone for a great day!
