Hey Guys,
My mom definitely can't make it on the 19th, she is going off to learn how to identify difficult plants, like those in the Asteraceae and Cyperaceae families. Oh, yeah, like I know what that means....NOT! She says she has to stay ahead of those young kids at work so she can keep her job! But my dad will bring me! Woohoo, can't wait!
So far we know we are in the Fetch event calendar, we missed the deadline for Bay Woof, and we are trying again with the BARK. Mom is going to print some flyers and spread the love this weekend!
Also, Mom and Dad and me and Smokey will be at the Mill Valley Dog Park this Saturday morning (the 12th) at about 10:30 so we hope to meet some of you then!
For directions try here: http://www.mill...../id13.html
Lets meet at the beach!!!! Its in the southeastern corner of the park!

Yay! Codie Rae! We will be there this weekend and next weekend-wahoo! We should print some flyers and spread them around here-it would be great to have a huge turnout.
I will be happy to take pix of the 3 legged herd!
And Codie Rae, the only thing that matters about plants is who peed on them last. Everyone knows that. You should let your mom know cuz that will save her a lot of money on her trip!

Woohoo! I just got back from the Mill Valley Dog Park pre-event and I am whupped! We got to meet Mary with Cemil and Medje (Mary spelled it 10 times for my mom and she is still not sure she got that sweet girl's name right) and Mary and Caira Sue!!! It was totally pawesome and I managed to pretty much behave myself. Kind of. There was so much regulating to do I didn't know which way to turn! That Caira Sue is pretty fun to chase around too! Cemil is sooooo big! He gets around really well too--what a sweetie! He didnt mind at all when I barked and snarled at him
We got some photos and maybe a little video too. Mom will post those as soon as she can. Ooooh, there were big mud puddles too! YeeeaH! Came in right handy for cooling off after running around so much. Then we had to go in the Bay to wash off!
I sure hope EVERYBODY can come out next Saturday....I can't wait to see you!

Hey Codie Rae and Smokey and Caira Sue! Just a quick "Great to meet you!!" because I'm double-whupped. What a long walk getting in and out of there. But it sure was fun. And Mary and Caira Sue, thanks for staying with me while Mom went to get the truck. That was awfully nice of you. I'm already looking forward to next week. Mom's going to bring along my buddy Radzi instead of Mujde so everybody gets a turn. Radzi's grandfather was a tripawd too.
Now I'm going to crawl up on my sleeping bag and have a nice....loooong.... nap. Mom will have to deal with the mud later. See you all next week!

It WAS good fun. It was so nice to see other people who care as much about their dogs as we do. And it's great to meet other tripawds!
I think Caira Sue was quite taken with Codie Rae. Caira Sue is great at taking a few minutes to "snarl and fuss" to make sure everyone knows who the boss is. She always let's the other dog be boss, but somehow they have to take those first few minutes to feel each other out. Then she was like "Yay!!!!! Codie Rae is boss! Let's jump in mud puddles and chase balls!" Ha, then here comes Cemil-loping over to PLOP down in the mud puddle.
I loved seeing Codie Rae and Caira Sue take off to go swimming together. Codie Rae's dad wanted to burst my bubble and tell me that Codie Rae was just herding Caira Sue. Boo. I'm sure it was because they were fast friends and wanted to swim the ocean together! Geez. Realist.
Anyway, I look forward to this weekend, and Caira Sue is going to bring her dad too! Wahoo!
Too bad we don't have any of those cool trading cards that Cemil brought-talk about awesome!

So I finally got all the mud brushed out of Cemil's coat.
That little outing was really good for him. He's pretty laid-back and gets tired when out walking so I haven't taken him out much. But since Saturday, he's been quite a bit livelier. I think this is his spirit-healing thing, like Cherry's Bob says. I thought it was watching out for all of us, which is his chosen job, but this definitely made a difference in his morale.
We talked about making it a regular thing for anyone who cares to show up. I vote for that.
See all you Northern California Tripawds next Saturday!!

SFGate just ran this piece about tripawds: http://www.sfga.....L&o=1
We got in a comment mentioning Tripawds and the pawty this weekend. Could make for a big turnout. See you there.
Shelby's people...it's a long walk to get to the dog park. Bring the wagon to carry the water. (Thanks for thinking of it!)
See you Saturday!!!!

What a fun day! Lots of people showed up and the dogs got to play with each other and some of the other dogs in the park. People got educated about tripawds and dog cancer and goodwill was spread around that small part of Mill Valley. Tripawd people are as awesome as their dogs.
Everybody else had cameras so pictures will be coming.
We'll be planning another Tripawd Hop in a month or so, same place. Does third Saturday work? That would be Oct 17th.
