Amanda and Boo will be joining Rocky and I for a play date soon and we would love to invite any other tripawds in the Michigan area to join us. We don't have a specific date set yet, but will probably be looking at a Friday or Saturday w/in the next few weeks. The location would be determined after hearing if there's any interest from others so a central location could be chosen. I am from Cadillac, while Amanda lives in Grand Rapids and I don't think either of us has a problem traveling a bit for some fun times with our pups.
Looking forward to meeting some new friends,
Michelle and Rocky
Oooooh cool! We will post this in our Tripawds Facebook page and hopefully get some others to be there too.

Oooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!! We are SO there! I have been wanting to attend a Michigan Tripawds Pawty FOREVER! Queen Nova would LOVE to attend. Seeing that her 2-year ampuversary is coming up soon on November 11, it seems like a PAWFECT excuse for a PAWTY! We will travel anywhere within the lower peninsula of Michigan. Fridays are perfect for me because I do not have school. I do a lot of running races on cycling tours, so am pretty booked on weekends through Sept/Oct. But I can easily drive somewhere on a Friday with the girls (blind Tripawd Queen Nova and her 4-legged sister Emmy - Great Danes). Cadillac or Grand Rapids, or somewhere in between, or more central in the state. Whatever!
PM me to discuss details. I am heading off to NC for a few days here, and for some reason can't post to Tripawds from my iPad, but if you email me I can email back. Or friend me on Facebook (sue vonrosen zieske) and we can talk details there!
Sue and Queen Nova
Dane Mom Sue at nova.tripawds.com and Mom to Beautiful Great Dane Queen Nova, a Blind Tripawd, who kicked cancer's butt from 11/08-03/13. The Queen is Spirit Nova now, but her legacy lives on here at Tripawds!
I too live in Michigan and would love to join! We have a potential tripawd, we are waiting for a lymph node test to come back to determine if we can move forward with amputation. If we can, we will likely do it next week so something later in October would probably work better for us. Hopefully we can join you!
OK, Rocky is totally excited now! He just can't wait to be surrounded by all of these beautiful girl dogs!
Sue, I was hoping you and Nova would be able to come. Nova has always amazed me, and I can't wait to meet her in person.
Madison, I wish you the best with your possible upcoming surgery. I know you're a strong girl and will get through this. Where in Michigan are you?
Amanda, there's no real options in Big Rapids, other than Hemlock park, but I think that maybe GR might end up being a more central location (depending on where Madison lives). Lets wait a couple of days to see if anyone else responds, then we'll get a date and location set up.
I am so looking forward to this!
Michelle
For anyone interested, we will be meeting up next Friday Sept. 24 at 1:00 in Grand Rapids. Please pm amandaboo for details and directions.
Madison's mom, we also plan to meet up later in the fall, so if you and Madison can't make it this time, there's always next time 🙂
Sue and Queen Nova, we hope to see you there (and Emmy too of course).
Can't wait till next week
Michelle and Rocky
Sorry it took me so long to post back. Madison's surgery has been rescheduled for the 27th, so we will try to make the party! It would be great for me to get some tips from all of you before she goes into surgery. We live south of Grand Rapids, so this is perfect! See you soon.
Darn! For some reason I thought the 24th was Saturday instead of Friday. Unfortuantely I work on Friday and won't be able to attend this party. I hope to catch up with you guys at the next party, it would be fun for both myself and Madison to interact with other Tripawds. We are ready to get the amputation under way on Monday, especially after the scare of thinking the cancer had already spread. Have fun for us, and enjoy the weather!
Sue: I just sent you an email - so hopefully you are in the loop now!
Madison's Mom: I just sent you a PM...
Looking forward to this weekend!
- Amanda & Boo
Boo became a Tripawd Warrior Princess on Sept 8, 2009. She crossed over the Rainbow Bridge 2.7 years later on April 29, 2012. Run free Angel Boo!
Have fun you guys!
Comet - 1999 to 2011
She departed us unexpectedly January 23, 2011 at the age of 12 1/2.
She was born with a deformed front leg and a tripawd all of her life.
