Our story: Broke rear leg in June 2013 - non-conclusive results for cancer so leg was plated and pinned. Enlarged spleen in September 2013 and had it removed and was diagnosed with Hemangiosarcoma and started chemotherapy. Became a Tripawd January 8th, 2014 and definitive Hemangiosarcoma diagnosis. Three major surgeries in 7 months and Shelby took them all like a champ only to lose her battle to cancer in her brain. We had 8 amazing extra months together and no regrets. #shelbystrong #loveofmylife
O-M-G, the Tripawds of Alberta had another fantastic get-together on Saturday!!! A beautiful sun shiny day and another GRRREAT turnout!!! We had a couple of new tripawd furbabies and their humans, a honorary tripawd and her human, and a visit from a few special guests. Here are some photos for you all to enjoy!!!
GROUP SHOTS...
THE USUAL SUSPECTS...Whisper, Roxy, Amarillo, Lucy (aka Pelusa) having some cuddle time with her former foster Mom. Since our last get-together, Amarillo's owner adopted the tripawd formerly known as Pelusa. We were so excited with this news
OUR NEW TRIPAWD FURBABIES...happy boy, Desi (rear amp from and injury) and cutie patootie, Disco (front birth defect)
OUR HONORARY TRIPAWD...this sweet girl, Trixie is owned by Lucy's former foster Mom. They will always be a part of our little family as far as we are concerned
OUR SPECIAL GUESTS...the Mom of our former member Bear (who unfortunately crossed RB in May), decided to surprise us with a visit!!! She brought Bear's fur Mom and their newest family member, Monkey (named after Bear's nickname), a sweet little Border Collie baby!!! We had a lovely visit reminiscing about her handsome boy!!! He is deeply missed We look forward to watching baby, Monkey grow into a strapping young man!
CAN YOU TAKE A GUESS WHO THE FOOD HOUNDS ARE? You guessed it, Whisper and Roxy

Okay, I think I'm going to have to move to Canada so I can join in on the fun with this WONDERFUL "group of love"! 🙂
And the pictures....OMD! Are you a professional photographer? Really, these are top notch photos! And the dogs...they are all really know how to "work the camera"!
Each mug is so full of happiness! And, just like last time, you were able to get them to all sit collectively for their group photo shoot...pure magic!!
And you got all the humans ro sit still long enough for their group photo...nothing short of a miracle!!
Thank you for sharing the joy! It really gives us all such happiness and huge smiles 🙂
Much love!
Sally and Alumni Happy Hannah and Merry Myrtle and Frankie too!
PS..Bear, you did an eexcellent job of picking Monkey for your humans!
Happy Hannah had a glorious additional bonus time of over one yr & two months after amp for osteo! She made me laugh everyday! Joined April's Angels after send off meal of steak, ice cream, M&Ms & deer poop!
