Hi,

Our 11 year old Italian Greyhound, 12 pounds, is at the hospital getting a hind leg amputated as I write this due to a soft cell sarcoma at the top of his thigh. Feeling all the feelings and wanting to prepare everything as much as possible when he returns in two days.

Would love community thoughts on ways to prep and anything else. We are looking through this site but it’s a little tricky to find info.

-how we should prepare our house

-if certain dog beds work best

-harnesses you’ve had luck with

-a contained area? We have another Italian greyhound and a 2 year old.

-a bigger doggy door? anyone need to reposition theirs?

-should we get a doggy stroller ? if so, do you love yours? please share info. 🙂

- we have stairs in our yard that are deep and short. we already thought about changing them but wondering what type of steps work best. shallow and wider?

Thanks so much! Trying to stay very optimistic but feeling a bit anxious about all this and hoping he’ll be ok.
