We'll all be thinking ofn you tomrrow and sending pawsitive energy.
Seeing her in pain has to be gutwrenching. Is it possible some of what you are soing (or hearing) is vocalizing as a result of the Fentynal patch? It's my understanding It is a different kind of "sound" they make when Fe tonal vocals.
Regardless, tomorrow's surgery should bring relief!

Yeah, unfortunately even the strongest pain meds are often no match for this type of pain. But tomorrow you will take the first steps toward getting rid of that pain and onward to happier days! We are sending you lots, and lots of love and encouragement from across the miles. I'll have the Tripawds Chat open during business hours (Pacific time) so stop by anytime tomorrow with an update OK? Stay strong!

We are finally out of surgery. X-rays had gotten a lot worse of the leg and I’m so glad we amputated. Within 7 days she doubled the damage to the leg. She’s doing well and I find out in the morning when she can come home! I feel like I should be a lot less stressed and upset bc it’s good news but until I can hold her I don’t think I will feel relief.
Well, we all feel relieved....so we'll double that feeling until you can feel it yourself!! Great news that surgery is done!!! She's on some good pain meds and resting comfortably. Probavly seeing a few pink elephants. Now you try and get some rest too. It's exhausting mentally and physically getting tomthisnpoint. Uoi'be been under a lot of stress.
No wonder she was in such pain woth that leg being so messed up! Some people actually say the discomfort from amputation aurgery is less than the pain from the leg before it was amputated.
And yes, when you see her and hug her, all your fears and stress will melt away. Let is know when she comes home so we can celebrate with uou.

YAY! That is such great news that surgery is OVER!
You'll be able to breathe soon. It's a process but you are getting there. See, we knew you could do it!
Saw you jump in the chat a few time but you didn't say anything. Let me know if you'd like help using it OK? I'm around tomorrow.
Keep us posted!!
We have a wonderful update this morning everyone!!! Our vet said when they checked on her she jumped up and jumped on them this morning happy as could be and went running outside. They played with her and she is doing wonderful!! Better then they ever expected for the day after surgery. They are going to remove the bandage and make sure everything looks good and if it does she gets to come home this afternoon!!
YAAAAAAY!!!! ABSOLUTELY THRILLED TO HEAR THIS!!!!! Proof pawsitive that she was soooo ready to fet rid of that vum leg!!!!
Sou ds like the hard part of recovery will be to make her atay quiet and resr!!! Keep in mind though, she is hyped up on strong hospmpain meds and may not feel quite as perky in a couple of days once they are out of her system.
Most likely they'll send her home with Gabapentin, an antibiotic and an antiinflmmatory like Rimadyl.
Let us know how things are going. Perhaps this calls for acheessevurger tonight for jer!

We are home. She and her brothers are finally laying down and calm. I’m slowly decompressing. Getting home and her out of my truck was a whole different ballgame that I didn’t plan for. Took me almost an hour to get her out of the truck. But one step at a time. Brothers are all being very sweet and giving her space. Last night was the first time we’ve not all been together and the brothers took it about as well as I did so when they heard sister home and cry out they all went crazy to try to help. It was extremely hard on all of us. Usually dad is the only one who doesn’t come home every day. We even take them on vacation to the beach with us, we bought a camper with a side by side hauler in the back half. But for now we are taking it one hour at a time because that’s all I can focus on. I’m working from home tomorrow so that I don’t put any extra stress on either of us. Dad returns tomorrow night for the weekend as well so that will definitely help us adjust and let me have a break.
Every time I tried to lift her she screamed and retreated. Which stressed me and then stressed her so I shut the doors for about 10 min. And then her new collar has a handle on it so I got the handle and her rear and helped her ease out. But neither of us can go through that stress again so luckily we can stay home til Monday and she can get her confidence in going up and down and we will be good to go.
