I need some prayers and encouragement over the next few days. Pipers doing wonderful and she’s adjusting really well. I’m so glad to see her showing signs of herself again. I’m possibly making a big change in my life and am waiting (not so patiently) on if it’s going to work out or not. Our girl has made me change how I look at my life as well as hers and it’s time to make some changes. We need to be happy and enjoy every day as if it’s our last. And like my husband and I say to piper we are on her time now.

Oh! I have a strange question too. When she had to poop she walks funny now. Is this normal? I’m struggling to see how the front leg amputation can effect the back legs walking only when she has to poop…. I’m going to ask the vet today as well when we go in for the staple removal

You ask you get! Absolutely! We made a huge change in our life when Jerry lost his leg too, and it was the best thing we ever did for all of us. Cancer really wakes us up doesn't it?! #BeMoreDog! Can't wait to find out if your new direction works out. Let us know if we can support you in any way.

Hard to say. Is she hunched when she walks? That could be a pain signal. Definitely worth talking to your vet about. Taking a video would help them see what's going on when it happens. Feel free to upload the video to YouTube and paste the video URL here so we can see it with our non-vet eyes.

So the vet said it’s part of her balance adjustments and is perfectly fine as long as it’s only when pottying. She has been cleared to do whatever she wants! Staples are out she got to go outside with the brothers and it MADE HER SO HAPPY! ❤️🥲 tomorrow will be her first day being left at home while I’m at work and I don’t know if it’s gonna be me or her more upset. I rearranged all my security cameras so I have no blind spots in the living room that she will be in (I’m such an over protective mom). They have motion sensors and will go off letting me know she’s moving around. Road to recovery is going super well so far and can’t wait to see more of my happy girl back.

What a huge accomplishment, especially at a time when you've been so stressed out and feeling uncertain. You are right where the universe wants you to be!
