I have Tai on K9 Immunity and transfer factor to aid her in fighting osteosarcoma. I have searched the internet but I can only find manufacturer sponsored reviews on K9 Immunity which seem a bit biased. It's hard to know if it works or that particular dog is just "lucky". Does anyone have any reviews, either positive or negative? My oncologist says that she can't see any reason not to use it as it won't hurt but as for scientific proof???

Tai – 9 yr old lab. Diagnosed Osteosarcoma Dec 18/09. Front right leg amputated Dec 21/09. Started chemo Jan 7/10. Lung mets discovered Sept 16/10. Valiant to the end on Oct 26/10 when cancer reappeared in a leg and we made the decision to set her free. Forever in my heart where not even cancer can take her from me.

I think that there is an ongoing study by CSU but nothing in print yet.  I think that any mushroom blend probably can help but not hurt. I used Power Mushrooms (by Health Concerns) mainly because they were so much cheaper and my dog survived to 14 months.  I have no proof that they helped her survival but she definitely felt peppy on them.  I wish I had started them sooner!

Be sure to check out the K9 Immunity user testimonials on the Aloha Medicinals website. We have also compiled links to more information about K9 Immunity in the Tripawds Nutrition Blog , including results from the K9 Immunity clinical trial Jerry was involved with.

Yes, there is very little if any scientific proof that it works, but none that proves it does not either. We can only speak from our own experience, but believe K9 Immunity and Transfer Factor – along with his metronomic therapy – helped Jerry live a happy life for nearly two years after his osteosarcoma diagnosis, when he was given just a few months to live.

Thanks for asking, and best wishes with your pup. Welcome to the tripawds community!
