Hooray! I hope there are many more W*A*L*Ks in Crystal's future!

We found that when Abby was especially seeming the most out of it/least like her old self, the best thing was visits from friends and family that she knew. She seemed pretty sick of us, but loved to have a visitor!

Hope she continues to improve and get back to her old self.

Abby: Aug 1, 2009 – Jan 10, 2012. Our beautiful rescue pup lived LARGE with osteosarcoma for 15 months – half her way-too-short life. I think our "halflistic" approach (mixing traditional meds + supplements) helped her thrive. (PM me for details. I'm happy to help.) She had lung mets for over a year. They took her from us in the end, but they cannot take her spirit! She will live forever in our hearts. She loved the beach and giving kisses and going to In-N-Out for a Flying Dutchman. How did the first chemo session go?  Hope your girl handled it well and is still up for walks.  It takes TIME to build back up to your pre-amp walks, but you will get there.  The first time we went walking post-amp, two people stopped and offered us rides home!  One of my greatest pleasures was watching tripawd Scout bounding 30 yards ahead on our walks.  The little faker used to pretend he was tired out when he was on a leash-- I fell for it every time-- poor Scout, he's overdone it, better take the leash off and let him rest a minute.  Then he'd shoot off after some tasty chunk of poop he was rudely pulled away from on yesterdays walk or some open garage that might contain a bag of kibble.

Scout: January 31, 2002 to November 7, 2011

Scout's diagnosis was "poorly differentiated sarcoma"; amputation 1/11/2011.  Scout enjoyed 9 fantastic years on 4 legs and 9 glorious months on 3 legs.  If love alone could have saved you…

It went well!  She has a bit of diarrhea but other than that she seems fine.  She still can't walk very far but we're adding a little distance every day.  I took a good look at her remaining front leg today and was shocked to see how muscular it is!  I'm hoping that she will eventually be able to cover the distance she used to but we're taking it one day at a time.  Every time we go out I keep wishing that a rabbit would jump out in front of us so she can chase it.  I guess rabbits and squirrles would be her equivalent of kibble in the garbage or tasty poops.

Oh and Scout's harness is incredibly useful :)!  We use it every day and I definitely would not be able to get her in or out of the car without it.  Thank you again!
