Hey everyone! Tim and I are trying to decide where to look next for some alternative treatments for Cody. We have a holistic vet in Columbus that we could make an appointment with, but his website says they refer out all homeopathic referrals. I know there are some people on here who have used Dr. Loops out of NC. I've read up on him and know that he does phone consults. What do you guys think? It makes me nervous that Dr. Loops would never actually see Cody, but I've heard that homeopathic is a better route to go because it is more specialized that holistic care. Any input or referrals would be MUCH appreciated!

Here's some Cody cuteness for you!

Cody is our 7 year old Australian Heeler mix boy. Diagnosed on 2/20/14 and became a tripawd 2/21/14! We chose a homeopathic approach and he is being treated by Dr. Loops our of NC.

Oh VERY cute! Love that boy! kiss

I think that everyone has an opinion about treatments. They all work in different ways to achieve the same thing. You need to go with what you're most comfortable with and what you can afford.

This episode of Tripawd Talk Radio discusses the variety of holistic treatments available, it may help you in deciding.

Our story: Broke rear leg in June 2013 - non-conclusive results for cancer so leg was plated and pinned. Enlarged spleen in September 2013 and had it removed and was diagnosed with Hemangiosarcoma and started chemotherapy. Became a Tripawd January 8th, 2014 and definitive Hemangiosarcoma diagnosis. Three major surgeries in 7 months and Shelby took them all like a champ only to lose her battle to cancer in her brain. We had 8 amazing extra months together and no regrets. #shelbystrong #loveofmylife

No real insight to offer, jist support and ....OMD...Cody Cuteness is right!! ADORABLE!!!

Actualy, I do think holistic and homeopathic "cross-over" and are used in combination and not necessarily exclusive of eachmother...and Ihave NO clue if that's right.

Thanks for the Cody Cuteness! He's looking mighty fne!!

Hugs to all!

We use Dr. Loops. So far things are going well. I know that I feel good about the decision and Marshall is feeling good. It was a hard decision to get to for us. Once I spoke to Dr. Loops I knew that we are doing what's right for us. If you are unsure he does a 5 minute free consultation I think. We haven't had anything but a positive response to the remedies. Whether or not they are doing anything is yet to be determined but I feel like it is helping. In addition to the homeopathic remedies we have kept him on Metacam and occasionally Pepcid. We prob will add Artemisinin but Dr. Loops doesn't manage that but said that it's ok to do. Hope this helps.
