Can someone on here remind me what the fluid buildup on amp site is called. All I can think of is seratoma , cannot find anything online so I am not spelling it right.

TY GUY, Best Black Lab ever! Diagnosed  and had amp in January, 2014. Kicked MRSA's butt. Earned his angel wings on April 16, 2014. Run Free my boy and don't forget a shoe. Ty is a proud member of the " April Angels". Ty sent us Daryl, a Tripawd rescue in Sept. of 2016. Daryl is 5 +or -. We are also Pawrents to Chandler, a Border Collie mix who is 15 and 1/2, Lucy, a Corgi who is 7, 2 minis, 2 horses, and a feisty cat named Zoe. Zoe had a non skeletal Osteosarcoma removed in July 2015. No Chemo, she was at least 16. She is going strong although she is now completely blind. She is now close to 20 and her hobbies are eating and sleeping in front of her personal heater.

I think the word you may be looking for is seroma .........fluid build up around a surgical incision. Hope this helps you out a bit.

seroma fluid build-up and drainage is normal, but you do need to be aware of what to look for. These posts should help:

Are you seeing this with Ty? What's going on over there with our boy? Ty, it's time to quit coming up with something "new" everyday to scare your momma, okay? I know you are absolutely loving all the spoiling...but you'll get that anyway without pulling these "pranks"!

Yes, it is! His is hard to see as his hair has grown back some. The redness, I should say. We are headed to vet at 4:40 today. It is dripping just a bit and now , in hindsight, I feel awful. I had noticed a few light pink spots on his bed when I would change his sheet. Since hie eats and drinks on there, I did not think a lot about it. Apparently it has been leaking for a few days. It feels really hard. He has what I would call a turkey warble, as if fluid is now under he's chin. When he is up and around, he breaths heavy. Hopefully vet can drain. I did hot compresses this morning hoping to encourage fluid movement, but just a drop here and there. I have figured it out, if there is a problem to be had through this, we are going to probably experience it. We will soon have posts about everything. I am just fearful of the fluid being around his heart or lungs. This had started last week when he came home from hospital. I had mentioned it, no one seemed too concerned, so I thought it was fluid from IV. Come on Ty, we are actually in the 5% to have post op complications. We probably look like Laurel and Hardy getting out of car at vets. We put his bed in there. When we get there, you see a 5ft 2 crazy lady hauling out a 3 legged Lab with a blue fabric shopping bag around his middle. Reverse that to put him back in. Quite a sight I am sure. Hopefully we will get ok news. Always afraid as I walk in, well that it will be bad news this time. I will post later, may be a lot later since I am keeping my niece overnight.
