Sweet Miss Cow, we are all so in love with you! It is obvious from your mum's posts that this is a universal truth. Bask in the Love and Enjoy, especially with your birthday celebration so close.

Teresa, I know firsthand how tough it is to watch that muscle waste away but your sweet girl, like mine, has so much to live for that she will surprise you with how well she will manage to get around even with skinny legs. Yes, she will slow down and may not be able to have quite as many adventures or perhaps just shorter ones but she is so well-loved and happy and that is what matters at the end of the day.

You give Miss cow the best day every day and you brighten hours with all the lovely photos of your beautiful, beautiful girl. Thank you for sharing her with us!

Sending lots of love,

Amy & Izzy

Momma to the world's most beautiful American Bulldog, Izzy!! Lost her front leg to OSA 9/18/15. Diagnosed w MCT in June 2016. Celebrated her 1 year ampuversary with knee surgery on 9/18/16! MCT recurrence in Dec 2016. Happy & hungry til nearly 14, earning her wings on 7/31/17.

Teresa, wiser words have never been spoken. And yes, it IS pawsible to beat the odds and defy all "predictions" of what the future will look like!

I love that you are keeping her vets informed of where she's at right now. Their smiles are lighting up the vet world and beyond. Now they can share your story with their current clients who are just now starting their own journey. Eurydice = HOPE and always will.

Your voice conveys peace and acceptance with this stage of her life. It takes a LOT of courage to do so, because after all, cancer is just a nasty, mean disease that nobody deserves. It is very difficult to put anger and negative emotions aside right now. But you are doing it, and the rewards of your current mindset are so great. You, my dear, are truly living in the Now. You are the definition of Be More Dog . BRAVO!

We are holding you both in our hearts 24/7. Thank you for allowing us to share these days with you.

Thank you so much for your beautiful words Amy and Reneeheart

Although it is really disappointing Eurydice's legs are starting to look like mine (gasp) I will not let her down and will pursue her joie de vivre as her zest for life is key to her staying by my side.

It is too easy to succumb to sadness and despair but that does NOTHING for our babies.

Nor does it do anything for us.

They need to be allowed to live.

They need to be allowed to sit outside with us, go for walks (or for a drive around), meet new people and dawgs, get friends to visit ...

When we get to the cortisone/diuretics route time is ticking fast and the end, when it comes, is sudden with an instant, dramatic decline.

I am told we get 24-48h max to help them embark on their solitary journey.

So, until then, I choose life !

And I hope with all my heart others at the same point in their journeys who may be reading this will take it on board and switch their human brains off and enjoy every day as it comes.

Right.

Eurydice here.

I knew my 6th birthday would be special but Mom managed to surprise me and I had SUCH great fun clap
